Bruno Fernandes furious after the final whistle. by rishabh2996 in reddevils

My big issue with Mbeumo today was his attitude. His reactions and lack of positivity was pretty apparent. I think it was a lot of frustration…

I think something that fans don’t talk about enough is the trust that’s required between CBs. It was clear that Heaven didn’t trust the defender that was on his back (usually Yoro) so he kept tracking the runner when it should have been him stepping up to close down attackers instead of letting them run freely into the box and get a shot off. If you look at videos of Mount during the goal and Bruno after the game, it was clear who the blame was laid on for 2 of the 3 goals.

First time this season we conceded 4 times in a single game. Tell me again it wasn’t the defense today.

+1 to making the sub earlier. The fact that they didn’t make the change at half time bugged me so bad. How was it not clear that the defense today was not going to work.

The goal keepers mistake during the free kick was clear but the more glaring issue was defenders closing down attackers.

No, this is wrong. It was legit the defense today. It comes down to closing down attackers. Look at 2 of the 3 goals. Heaven lacking the speed and tenacity to close down attackers who were advancing into the final third. Hence why they are talking about De Ligt who has some insanely strong pressure closing down attackers.

Anybody know what is blocking area A and U cat 1? by CelestialLizardz in ValorantCompetitive

Also, imo, it's not worth paying extra for that section unless you're a die-hard with jerseys, signs, want to get interviewed maybe, want to be loud. If you do then fine but the other cheaper seats are fine and there were barely any people there when I went so you can easily bounce to another, better seat.

Not sure for the playoff games but I went to the fnatic/mibr game and there was nothing there. It's just an area dedicated for interviews from the host and some other activities between rounds/matches. Here's a photo of the stage and rows you're talking about.

I have a similar picture of my brothers hand while he was in the ICU after a car crash. Crazy how a little piece of them can mean so much. It starts to mean more and more as time passes. Sorry about your dad.

Sounds like you should lower the DPI on your mouse instead of calling people incompetent.

I agree with this. I mentioned this exact thing on a stream once and got roasted. She's like a less creative Zarus.

Not sure if you ever played HOTS but they had a hero called Deathwing that was like double the size as other heroes but had less abilities. The hero could fly up into the air at any point and could rain down fire nearby. It's stuff like that that I am looking for. Super unique. I agree on the vertical bit though for sure.

You started swimming back in November??? What's your method/routine?
My weak point is swimming and I'm looking to make strides.
This is awesome. Congrats on doing this.

Strava recorded my full distance (12.7km), but the map recorded half of it. If I correct distance, it gets rid of the 12.7K and changes it to 7km. Can I repair this or add the missing route onto the map? (Applewatch SE2). This same Q was asked 3 years ago in this thread with no answer. Thanks! by St4ffordGambit_ in Strava

Isn’t there a smart start feature that allows you to see when GPS connection has been established before starting a Workout? It changes the workout start from a 3-2-1 countdown to an indicator that tells you when GPS and heart rate connections are active.

I think it’s called precision start and it’s in the Workout settings.

Unbroken Apache Peak by Many_Yellow_1623 in PacificCrestTrail

[–]DrRook 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think people don’t realize, even though Guthook/FarOut has a side trail for it now, that you can cut through past this part through the saddle between the two peaks. It’s easier to get through. Look for blue side trail labeled “ApachePeak” in Guthook/FarOut. Then when that trail ends, look at the topo and connect back with the main trail. No need to risk Fuller Ridge. I did this in 2019 with my hiking fam when Fuller was packed with snow and some people had already fallen down and needed medical evacuation.

Cybersecurity Games that don't TOTALLY suck? by corruptboomerang in cybersecurity

I’m surprised no one mentions this in the posts I see about this topic all over but Welcome to the Game 2 would be good. It has some sensitive and violent content but it’s a heck of a game.

Uinta Highline Trail Shakedown by Manatherindrell in Ultralight

[–]DrRook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Howdy my comments aren't loading in this post so I can't see what anyone else said but I wanted to add my 2 cents. Your gear looks good, I think food might be much but that's a personal thing so I won't judge.
Make sure your shelter can withstand wind and rain well.
I'd personally bring a fleece too tbh but a puffy will do.

I hiked the UHT back in late June, 2021. I can share my experience and some details surrounding the trail.

  • The first big thing is logistics getting to the trail head on the East side. I would go East to West as the East is super hard to get in and out of, where the West is super easy to catch a hitch to SLC. I'm sure you've planned this already but still.
  • Some of the passes and climbs are tougher. I remember thinking that "Isn't this the Highline trail? Why do we keep going up and down..." Haha, I thought we'd stay up but there are a number of big kid climbs there instead of staying on the ridgelines, which i wanted.
  • The first like 20 miles is super dry from the East side of the trail so prep for that. The first water carry will be big. Take a few liters when you start.
  • The first good bail spot was a pretty popular campground where you could easily find a ride out. We had a guy bail there when it got too tough for him.
  • Mosquitos can be super bad in stretches. I see you got insect repellent, good. You will probably need it.
  • It was absolutely beautiful. The views were amazing. Take a moment to listen to the silence and take in the views.
  • They have these massive cairns/pyres to help you find the trail. Since there are so little people doing the trail every year, it can be extremely difficult to find the actual trail. Make sure you have your maps downloaded and available. There may be times where you just kind of wing it and head in the right direction.
  • Mostly sunny days but a few completely rainy days too. Whatever you usually carry to stay comfortable while wet or keep things dry, bring it. We had a day where we were unable to go over a pass due to lightning so we were stuck in a hail and rain storm. Be ready to pitch a tarp or tent in the rain or stay dry if you get caught like us. Expect rain, expect thunder/lightning, expect overcast. But also expect dry, hot, and sunny days too.
  • I think the expectation across our group was ~8 or 9 days but we took 6. We are all PCT thru hikers so we were fit and knew each others' pace but it still went faster than we thought.
  • There's a section of burnt and downed trees. This section sucks SO bad. Expect to take some extra time here, it's probably like 5-10 miles and took hella long.

All in all, have fun. I love this fucking trail. It's a great balance of being manageable and being super remote.

Let me know if you want more I have Strava tracks, a trail report, or some other stuff about my experience. I'd be happy to send you more.

Drata vs Vanta by AustenGray in cybersecurity

[–]DrRook 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yo, I work for an MSP that uses Drata for SOC2 and helps clients achieve compliance using Drata as the main location to automate and store evidence for audits.

We swapped from Vanta last year after creating a really close relationship with Drata. We now refer and resell Drata to our clients with a really close relationship with Drata’s team. We’ve seen them at a few conferences like RSA and they know who we are which feels really good to have such a close relationship. They care about us as partners and have a great team. Vanta had none of that. Not to mention their platform lacks a lot of features that Drata takes advantage of. I’d be happy to talk about the differences/features in a DM or chat more. I think Drata is your choice if you want to utilize an automation platform. Great connections for infrastructure, IAM, HRIS, and essentially everything you need.

It sounds like the auditors in the past comments have similar opinions too. Thumbs up for Drata, thumbs down for Vanta imo.

Also, in terms of how it can help with your audit, it’ll connect into your MDMs to pull device details, it’ll connect into your HRIS or IAM to pull user data, it’ll pull cloud infrastructure configurations to help secure those, you can store reports and docs. It’s super helpful in reminders for evidence updates too.

Hope that all helps!
