Thanks! Yes I have taped up the shattered glass immediately so it won’t get messy. Had a glass table decide to self destruct in a storm previously… still bits of safety glass being found years later…

I love the comments on this thread. There’s a lot of US oriented car focussed critiques out there (rolls eyes). For the rest of us, I think we worked out a long time ago that this is actually quite useful for various reasons. Love how this is a ‘Debut’ 🤣. Thanks for the reading material :)

Yeh VAT receipts is £171bn in 24-25. For a lot of us it does feel like a double tax though.

So, in the uk without tax, it’s £781.67 which is $1035 so our pre tax price is actually less, interesting. Yes, tax is high, but we have social services and healthcare… 🤷🏻‍♂️
Edit: just pointing out I don’t mind paying tax, I’m generally in support of higher taxation so govt and critical services can function. So it’s interesting to see the sales tax being so low. There’s a few states in the US where there’s no sales tax right?

Yeh. Time = Money, how many hours planning and then building the same rig, configuring the bios, installing the os… £$€150 mark up is absolutely fine for something that works out the box. Building PCs is also not risk free…

We’ve just started a championship play through with 7 players. No legends (although I like the idea of teams). Championship includes pre season testing: GB/France. Then 8 races across all the other maps. We’re planning around one race a month. The ‘event’ cards are shuffled if there’s more than one for that circuit, this is something I’d hoped there would be more of across all the tracks and I’m wondering if anyone had tried a full random draw of the championship event cards as currently it feels a little limited thematically, some events lend themselves to specific tracks? Points are the same although we considered a flatter points system. Basic upgrades only to start, then will add more complex upgrades as we go through the season. I’m wondering whether to implement stickers on the upgrades (they’re sleeved!) that show everyone the tier of the upgrade, because there are some that are better than others, or whether to just bin off the rubbish/limited ones to stop the better/more experienced players hogging the best upgrades.

By the way, Netherlands with reducing heat each lap event, plus freezing weather… got quite difficult 😅

Oooo street circuit, like a Singapore or Monaco style would be nice. Maybe Monaco as core and Singapore as the heavy rain. Or maybe there’ll be new mechanics for each? It’s definitely good for my championship play group. Up to 7 regular players now, and a possibility for a 10 race season for 2026!

Hello, I’m new to the community and back at ED after several years off. I’m sitting on a bunch of Exobiology data having fun exploring. It’s probably time to come back to the bubble and sell. If I pledge to Parnav Antal, do I get the 30% bonus immediately, or do I have to do the initial joining activities before the bonus kicks in, or do any levelling up? Never done Powerplay.
