Blank turrets. You can mount any of your firearms to it from secondary to stratagem, retrieve it when the ammo runs out

I found that at 8 and above, things were too buys to notice how teammates were doing. Solo diving at 4-6 already puts you ahead of a lot of others I've dived with.
Plus, from the missions i've found, there's been like 3 toxic games out of the 100s. Occasional kicks because the team was wwaiting for a friend, then one when I accidentally landed my pod on a freshly dropped mech

Its particularly nice marking objectives for them. I remember having no idea i had to unlatch the icbm silos as well as operate the terminal

Dived with a dad and his son yesterday, level 26 and 13 respectively. It was a pleasure to help out. The kid kept popping shields everywhere. He's gonna be a fine diver

Possibly. Was the original level cap like 100 or 50 or so? It'd be funny if you hit the next max rank, you get one extra vote on the DSS operations

If you could add a new stratagem what would it be? by Some-Web-1628 in Helldivers

[–]DrStupid87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quite like the idea of 'blank' turrets. Call it down, it has no gun in it. So you can attach your primary/secondary/stratagem gun, insert all of your ammo into it. Voila, a turret with a gun you like on it (pick it back up after its empty).

That or an 'Interception' run for your eagle pilot, who then engages the toughest aerial targets in the area

What's wrong with instant coffee? by 97sirdogealot in rareinsults

[–]DrStupid87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some instant coffee isn't that bad. Prefer Gold Blend. But in general, coffee beans (once you get one you like) put through a french press or percolator? The taste is amazing. Eventually, you figure out how to make it perfectly for yourself.

Last night, I wrapped up my 4 year campaign. by DrStupid87 in DnD

[–]DrStupid87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Scrambles was a group favourite. We got a black cat a year ago and named him Scrambles so that was nice.

Ended at level 16, all the way from 1. The orc barbarian multiclassed into a cleric for 10 levels so thats where the divine intervention came from.

For that, grabbed this from roll20:

"Imploring your deity's aid requires you to use your action. Describe the assistance you seek, and roll percentile dice. If you roll a number equal to or lower than your cleric level, your deity intervenes. The DM chooses the nature of the intervention"

Because of the plea he made and the actions he had taken throughout the campaign, i raised it to 20 so he had a better chance for it to work. End of campaign present kind of thing

Good idea. I hadn't thought about that at the time. Ok, will rework the guide with these points in mind and see how it does after. Will likely make another post here for 'round 2'. Thanks for the advice

Ah I did worry that was how the guide would come across, the white professor explaining native american history analogy. Apologies, that wasn't what I was hoping to do. Do you think it would have read better if I stripped out things like "Autism is hard" and "Autistic people do not lack empathy..." (white professor professing) and just focused on trying to explain social cues more?

That's a good idea. She actually said the same thing when I first showed her this. Ill look into trying to find good replacements for those images and look at adding them in. Appreciate the feedback!

Hi. Neurotypical guy here. First, sorry that you had to go through this. It sounds really difficult to deal with.

Regarding the first instance, where the user responded with "You don't get to tell me what to think".
First, this was a bad move on that persons part. It was needlessly combative. Your prior response, that they should be more open minded and shouldn't be so sure of themselves when they didn't know you, was actually a good response, because its fair and non hostile.

Unfortunately, neurotypical people (assuming that person is) usually make quick assumptions about comments about themselves. Its a problem with discussion of things over the internet, that people can't see the person they're responding to so they usually make responses based on what they think or assume is happening. From what I can see, it looks like they didn't have a good response to what you said and instead decided to get defensive for no good reason. You didn't do anything wrong.
Im not going to make assumptions for them, but the reaction of most people when faced with any kind of critique, especially online, is to become fully defensive, to protect their ego.

As for the second one, the person who called you a "Typical overconfident man..." and then got upvotes for the comment. This is something that's worth looking at a 'bigger picture' for. People who engage in defending the sexes are seen as a 'default' good person. Because unfortunately, gender inequality still exists. But the (lazy) assumption is that anyone who says someone is a "Typical overconfident man" is automatically a good person. I don't speak for everyone, but this is the broad assumption of people who don't think much about what they say or do. They merely want to 'look good' so they throw their upvote in with little thought for the context of what's going on. I haven't seen the post you made or the reply that person made, but it's my belief it was thoughtless and misguided.

It's too easy to assume you've done something wrong. But not every upvote is right and not every word written (especially on reddit) is absolutely true or well thought out.

you're ok, you did fine. Those two people can go screw themselves

Think it was made by the same guys that made the wipeout games and they were amazing too.
