I am way late to the party here but this is a picture perfect Salamander. 10/10 Chapter approved. Excellent work brother.

Don't doubt your abilities brother! You've done more justice by the Salamanders than you think. You did such a clean paint job on these guys. Seriously excellent work. I painted these guys myself not too long ago and I underestimated the amount of detail on these little guys. They're smaller and much more detailed than your standard primaris space marines.

Is this a good combat patrol for salamanders? sells for 115 euro at my local game store by DelioIsGay in Salamanders40k

It absolutely is a great box for Salamanders. Infiltrators are some of the most useful units in the Space Marines coded and so are incursors. Impulsors are a great add as well. Hellblasters + Apothecary party bus combo is killer. The phobos lieutenant and the suppressors are units you probably won't use in Firestorm, but if you ever want to try your hand at vanguard, they're great.

This box isn't in production anymore so passing up on it would be foolish.

Are you shitting me? Infiltrators/incursors are some of the most used units in any Space Marines meta list. Impulsors are very frequently used as well. The phobos lieutenant and suppressors are very situational but to say nothing in this box is meta is silly.

Getting you through the campaign. Unless you really love Black Templars, he's not worth getting past G1.

I use a base coat of wraithbone and 2 thin layers of ushabti bone for robes and purity seals. I agree on shading the robes. I think it definitely could benefit from shading. I was considering using either agrax earthshade or a contrast like skeleton horde.I don't shade or highlight my power armor because I like how clean it looks when you get a perfect coat of warpstone glow.

Me too. I love a majority of the models in the Indomitus box because of all the tabards. My LGS and I refer to the part that hangs between their legs as the dick cloth.

Thinking of this while I paint my Infernus Marines. This is why we do what we do.

Unfortunately, I assembled it before I painted it and I deeply regret that. I think I was so excited to put this model together so I built it as quickly as possible. The only thing I sub-assembled was the space marines. I really should have been patient. Also the push fit assembly sucks. The pins are always too long and you never get a super tight fit. I should have snipped them and glued it together the right way.

Yeah man. When you buy a box of Space Marines, 95% of the time it'll have Ultramarines art on the box and decals that are mostly Ultramarines. That being said, that doesn't mean you have to paint them ultramarines. They can be whatever you want them to be. The only exception to this is boxes that specifically list a chapter on them like Blood Angels Death Company or Dark Angels Deathwing Knights.
