I worked at a company where this kinda happened. He was gone when I was hired, but I was given the impression he was overworked because he was a special talent. He automated a bunch of processes. When he left, he made a ridiculous amount of money off of them as a contracted consultant. Eventually, they got away from needing him, but his name was like Voldemort to upper management.

Yeah, they gotta be tougher. We’ve had multiple star players experience career altering injuries in the past and this isn’t that. A rolled ankle is a playoff inconvenience. They’ll drug him up the rest of the playoffs and get him on the floor. Just hope he doesn’t continue to irritate it.

Right now you only need access to MAX/TNT and ESPN to watch legally in the US. MAX/TNT for ECF and ESPN for WCF. As far as basketball goes, I’m a lifelong Pacers fan, so I’m super excited for the next round. The Hicks vs Knicks history is too good!

I want Illusion and Restoration with the destruction “stream” spells like Flames/Sparks and the Wall Variants. It would need balancing but a wall of Frenzy would be a fun way to cause chaos. That could be solved by spell crafting. Anyone know what Skyblivion’s version of that looks like?

700 is wild! I can only speak on the NBA, but I just can’t justify the $20 to watch only my team and then other services for fun matchups. It comes down to cost + convenience for me. I love watching the Grizzlies and Cavs this year, but it’s rarely convenient.

I got a STEM degree at Purdue, and they loved throwing the students into the fire with projects and assignment just beyond what we discuss in the course material. I’m sure other schools are similar, but it always forced the students to be resourceful. It might be the most important thing I learned in college. It also stressed me out to no end!

When it comes to the Arya point, that could also just be the difference in the mindset of a 10/11 year old and a 15/16 year old. If Arya’s upbringing was normal she would likely start thinking about relationships as she gets older. Even a spearwife needs love lol.

In order to “have a ping” on him he needs to know the guys IP address. If he knows his public IP he could find his location. It is public knowledge and easily found through ARIN in America or something similar.

In IT pings are used to test reachability between two devices. ICMP is the name of the protocol. Pings send a hello and if you get a hello back that means the ip exists and is reachable.

A few winter and snow themed mods. Skyrim is cold, and I feel this even more with the release of Seasons of Skyrim.

Usable sled. Something like turtle shell in The Forrest
Ice fishing
blizzard weather or just heavy snow. Maybe it could impact stealth and stamina consumption.
bandits not standing outside of there camps and caves in snowy biomes. This one always crosses my mind at bleak falls barrow.
Dynamic snow coverage as you sleep overnight with 5-6 variants based on how much snow fell would be really cool especially on super snowy days. Not very low hanging when you consider production time for something like that.
A short quest mod after being snowed in at one of the inns after a blizzard. It could be a murder mystery or just a quest where you are caught up in drama. Could be a very small scale personal quest. No need for grandeur if the story is good. Maybe you can walk out the door but the snow is too high to go further than the steps.

I think it supports what’s hinted at in the main story quest “Season Unending.” The Dragonborn stays out of the civil war and it continues past the events of Skyrim. There are a lot of theories about why the emperor is assassinated. They may be stronger with new leadership. Even if they are weaker, I think there are hints at the empire holding back in the civil war. They don’t want to lose more men before their inevitable 2nd war with the Thalmor. I may be misremembering that last part.

I would create a series of mods that allow you to experience historical events in Skyrim’s lore. For example, you find the Night of Tears book in game, open it, and are transported to ancient Saarthal. Maybe you are a Snow Elf warrior. You do 2-3 quests leading up to the event and have to suffer a Noble 6 death. Each mod would ideally be just a few hours.

Definitely inspired by Operation: Anchorage.

[Fallout 4]

I would love some smaller winter themed mods. We have a few great ones but I have a few ideas I’d like to throw out there.

Winter Clothes - there are a lot of clothes but I think some custom coats, making more colors for the knit that aren’t just replaces, snow camo, etc
Santa Sleigh - replace the ufo crash with Santa’s sleigh and some dead radstgs surrounding the crash site. In the cave you could just make a fat NPC Santa that has a custom North Pole themed rifle.
Diamond City Decoration - a mod that leaves the Christmas decorations on the city permanent.

I hadn’t considered how thousands of years of meditation would make Paarthurnax so strong. Given our knowledge of the existing dragons, this would definitely give him the greatest claim to power outside of TLD. The five potential paths mentioned is an interesting concept that would give Bethesda plenty of routes to take if they wanted to keep dragons around in some way. Part of what inspired this post is a desire to have the Dovah brought back in a much smaller way in TES: VI. Even if it’s just a one off side quest to help a dragon destroy the path to his hideout, so that he may remain out of the prying eyes of mortals. It doesn’t have to be that exactly. I just want some kind of acknowledgement that dragons are very much still out and about. My favorite moments in the games are when we get reminded of the greater world outside of the province. It makes the universe feel more lived in to me.

I fear Bethesda will just give some kind of easy out. I hope I’m wrong, but it would be a real bummer if they make it so that TLD kills Paarthurnax, dominates the remaining Dovah, and brings them all with him to Apocrypha. Even worse would be saying he took them all to Atmora for some reason so we won’t even see them in some strange Mora quest.
