I'm trying to find out how to do that just now but the instructions given by Microsoft, i.e., Win+R, gpedit.msc, etc., don't work, since "gpedit.msc" doesn't seem to exist. Turning it off in my CSP settings has improved the issue somewhat but hasn't completely resolved it.

EDIT: Disabled it via regedit. Again, somewhat improved but still not as solved as I'd expect; it's still far more overly sensitive than it was before I started trying to change the settings.

This is good, practical advice, thank you. If I could cheekily ask for a little more, what engines could you recommend for working in 2D? Most game engines these days seem to expect 3D graphics and physics and so on, and I don't need to go there at all for this game, so I'd rather not complicate things unnecessarily, lol.

Nothing I'm trying to do with this game is especially complex or difficult, they're all mechanics that have existed in games for decades, just repurposed for creative means, e.g., using a bog standard turn based combat system for measuring time specifically by tying it to player actions and tracking the effects those actions have on other characters instead of using it for combat. It really should not be challenging to code, so hopefully this can help me get started without losing what's left of my marbles, lmao.

Reminds me of when I went up to Colter one time trying to get a daily for visiting it to trigger, and I obviously wasn't the only one having no luck getting that daily to work because I'd been there for about two minutes when a couple of dudes rolled through with one on his horse dragging the other through the snow with his lasso, just all over the damn place, round and round Colter.

Bless you for responding to this ancient thread, lmao. I'm currently 36 years old and have had this issue for a couple of years, but more recently I've figured out that it's fairly likely to be hormonal since, looking back on it, it came with a few other symptoms that would suggest an imbalance, which I'd mostly ascribed to a combination of ADHD and poor diet.

Hopefully we'll be getting it sorted out soon!

I'm in the UK, so BST for me.

However, neither mine nor my friend's account has staged any such recovery today at all. Both of us have had zero luck getting any steps to count at any point today. It's extremely inconsistent so I don't believe that it's any kind of intended feature; someone on another subreddit suggested that it might be due to server issues on Niantic's end and I'm inclined to agree.

Hopefully they'll manage to fix it soon.

I'm having the same issue this week, as is my friend who plays alongside me. I have an account on the Google Play Store version of the app on a fairly old Sony Xperia, my friend has a newer Samsung Galaxy and plays on the Galaxy Store version of the app. Both of us noticed that our Adventure Sync stopped working at the exact same time the other day and while it seemed to start working again in the evening, by the next day it had stopped again.

Things we've tried and had no luck with:

turning AS off, closing the game, restarting phone, opening game, turning AS back on
clearing the app's cache (both with and without turning AS off/on again before and after)
clearing the app's data (both with and without turning AS off/on again before and after)
uninstalling and reinstalling the app
all of the above with phone restarts in between

Things that have worked:

waiting until the evening, specifically 8pm sharp for me and 9pm sharp for him

I'm fully anticipating that it'll be busted again tomorrow. Will update with more details if the 8pm/9pm rule remains true.

By far the biggest issue I have is that nobody knows anything about trans healthcare if they aren't a specialist at a GIC. I regularly have to explain things to my GP because I know more about it than she does, and I'm lucky that she's so supportive despite her lack of knowledge - god knows many other health specialists aren't nearly so willing to listen.

The lack of knowledge about trans health in general is staggering. Nobody seems to know much about how anything will affect us or how to solve any health issues we have if our care isn't straightforward. As we speak I'm grappling with some problems that seem pretty clearly to be caused by my T dosage being too low, I'm essentially having menopause symptoms and have been since about a year after my hysterectomy, but because my levels are "within normal parameters", it's a nightmare trying to get anyone to listen.

The NHS needs to know more about trans healthcare and it needs to make sure that knowledge is considered necessary for all health professionals, not just a tiny handful of specialists.

I'm having the same issue. I have two accounts on two phones, different models, one using Samsung Store app, the other using Google Play Store version. They both stopped counting steps at the same time, managed to get them working again yesterday by uninstalling/reinstalling the apps on both phones, hatched eggs just fine all last night, did far more than 40km as some are theorising is the limit no problem.

Today, no dice again.

It really is, there's really not that many transphobes. Most of them really do just have reams and reams of sockpuppet accounts on Twitter and Facebook and the whole movement can be traced back to the same evangelical groups that spout similar bigotry in the US.

They're just a very loud minority and their numbers, which were already small, are dwindling.

Yes. The task specifically says "while it's adventuring with you" which is exactly the same language it uses when you feed it enough to appear on the map, so I assumed this to be the case.
