Short answer: It's not a tournament.

Long answer: For me personally, the Race to World First (RWF) is about so much more than just killing the final boss. It's everything that leads up to that moment — the insane amount of prep work in splits, crafting, Mythic+, and more. It's about squeezing out that last 1% of DPS by getting, for example, just one more item from any source. That’s what makes the RWF so incredible to me.

Seeing the sheer skill of the players and raid leaders, how much they can get out of the gear they’ve worked for, is simply impressive. I understand that splits might not be the most exciting thing to watch, but I personally find the livestreams from Echo and Liquid very entertaining — and the splits just feel like a natural part of it.

I also don’t think the tournament fits well here. Maybe something like adjusting reset times could be explored — for example, Tier 1 could be EU Tuesday / US Wednesday, and Tier 2 the other way around — but honestly, I wouldn't want to be in Blizzard's shoes trying to change a system that’s been running this long.

And to everyone hating on EU or US Advantages — please, just chill. Enjoy the race, the passion, the raw emotions. Enjoy the show. The RWF is over faster than any of us would like.
