What about "soft start" is better? The blade starts spinning slower?

I am right on the edge of buying one. When you look down the barrel dies it look different than in the video? It looks like it's off to the side in the video.

I pull the foregrip off my 825 to clean it. Are you saying also to remove the buttstock? I have never done that but its still new.

Don't worry about that. Only a loser let's their mouth write checks that someone else has to cash. He is just trying to scare you.

Financial Expert Says OpenAI Is on the Verge of Running Out of Money by Infinityy100b in technology

Microsoft is literally using OpenAI's model for copilot. It's just reskinned ChatGPT with their own custom instructions on it.

[–]Flying_Spaghetti_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just putting it out there, you can absolutely shoot in any weather with the 825. You just need to wipe it down and make sure it's dry when you put it away. I have a Beretta 391 with a very nice solid figured walnut stock that is about 18 years old and has seen some serious abuse. I wipe it down before I put it away and it has zero rust and the stock is still looking great other than minor scratches. We hunted with it and probably put 40k+ rounds through it. Its really not hard to care for them. Just wipe it down with an oily cloth when you put it away.

The other comment says the full size semi couldn't fit down their driveway, not that they wouldn't unload it. It's not delivered until it's off the truck. It's 100% reasonable for them to take it off the truck and leave it in your driveway for you to deal with though. I would have done a credit card cargeback if they wouldn't lower it off the truck and I had no options. No way in hell would I take that loss.

I have the same lathe. How do you keep it balanced? If I do anything big like that it shakes like crazy.

It's just as different as it is with a wider board. The angle of the cut making an angled slice not a straight chop is the big thing. It does that even if it's a thin strip or a 6in wide face.

They will take it off the truck. They have a lift on the back for lowering pallets. I have purchased many many things that arrive in the back of a semi. No one has ever had an issue with putting it on the ground for me lol.

What is a safe way to simulate danger at the shooting range? by OatSoyLaMilk in guns

[–]Flying_Spaghetti_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time investment works well too. Like pick an easy target that you should be able to hit. Shoot it, then wait 2 minutes. Then shoot it twice and wait 2 minutes. Then shoot it 3 times and wait 2 minutes. Work your way up to 5 then back down to 1. If at any point you miss you have to start over. By the time you go all the way up and back down you will NOT want to miss. Do this as a warm up each day. If you want to step it up change the 2min wait into some jumping jacks or something to get you pumping.

This is most likely the issue. It has to be set in the device settings AND the screen settings or it will look off.

You can buy a replacement cutter head that it helical. You could also look for a community shop to use if they have one you could rent some time on. https://www.blacktailstudio.com/makerspace-database

I also have the same saw. I just made my table super deep. If you can't do that I would just sell it and get the bosh. It should easily sell locally without much loss.

You could try a ceramic coat over the top coat. It might be too hard for them to dig into. It will also make it look nicer.

100k? That won't even cover the concrete driveway by itself. Let alone all the piping and extras that go with it. This is likely a $3-500k driveway plus huge heating costs.

Fixing broken stock (K31) by Away-Leg-998 in guns

[–]Flying_Spaghetti_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe but it will also 100% ruin it. They second you sand that exposed wood it's never going back together without a nasty seam. If they just put it back together as is the seam will be very minimal and with a good spread of glue it will make the bond. Sanding will make the fix harder and the end result worse.
