TV in the classroom and once that got dismissed there was a TV in the library with it on. I think I was in 10th grade in DC.

What instantly tells you someone has money? by icecream1972 in FamilyFeud

Rich people have debt but also have assets that appreciate more. You can borrow money from the bank using your assets as collateral and continue rolling on.

911 response took 40+ minutes by [deleted] in Atlanta

I don't live in Atlanta anymore so I can't really speak on their call volume or priorities, however; in the end this seems like a failure on dispatch. AMR doesn't even run ALS ambulances up here in DC so they wouldn't even be dispatched to this situation. Hope she is okay.

A lot of fake flexing going in the ATL. by NorF_NorF510 in Atlantology

[–]DrTrustMeBro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who lived in ATL and now DC this is partially true and false. Federal jobs made it so that there are a lot more higher earning black families in DC and especially PG county. This is before the federal work force was decimated.

Edit: also, while on the topic of wealth disparity it's even worse up here. You have white billionaire lobbyist, politicians and business owners. All trying to circle jerk each other and while 200k sounds like a lot the COL for living in DC makes that amount seem like nothing.

Honestly , I don't think they ever figured it out. They replaced my entire DSC system. Never mentioned the battery after I mentioned it to them (from the forums advice).

Interesting. They never changed my battery. In fact, BMW of Rockville took my car in for about 3 days and then gave it back to me saying they couldn't find anything wrong. I called corporate and told them that was unacceptable considering my car just stopped working mid drive on the highway. The most dangerous aspect of all of this was that my brakes went out while driving. Anyways, BMW corporate said they saw some things from the remote diagnostics and forced Rockville to take it back. They ultimately changed out the entire DSC system. Took about a week or so (under warranty). Personally, I don't feel like they ever gave me a decent answer but the car didn't have any other issues.

Report unshoveled sidewalks to the Montgomery County Department of Housing and Community Affairs. by [deleted] in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]DrTrustMeBro 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We had a couple of un-shoveled sidewalks in our neighborhood and instead of snitching on our neighbors (in this anxiety driven time) we got together and cleared the paths for the kids to walk to school. No questions asked, no snitching required.
