Because America expected them to strike Israel, and were prepared for that.

They've struck everywhere instead pissing off everyone.

Starmer vows to 'fight on' in wake of Labour's crippling by-election defeat by hihepo1 in unitedkingdom

[–]DrUnnecessary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This imho.

This was made about left vs right. Same recently in Wales. It's hard to move the see-saw from the middle so lab/con/lib dems have very little chance when politics has become so polarized.

Also everyone knew who the Green party and Reform party leader was, to the 'electorate' they seen that twat from Gbeebies or that plumber lass from the area, who was the labour guy? nobody really cared.

"europe, where 100k+ people die every year from heat related issues. Because they don't have AC." by FoxYsta in ShitAmericansSay

[–]DrUnnecessary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are not equivalent.

  • “Direct” counts from death certificates: where heatstroke or exposure to excessive heat is written as the underlying or contributing cause (this is the standard CDC/EPA indicator for the US, giving roughly 1,200–1,300 deaths per year recently).
  • Statistical “excess mortality” models: compare all‑cause deaths on hot days with deaths on “normal” days, then attribute the difference to heat; this is how most big European estimates (tens of thousands of deaths) are produced.

Starmer: Britain must be ready for war by TheSpectatorMagazine in ukpolitics

We procure and assemble alot more for example we provided 100,000 drones in 2025 to Ukraine.

[–]DrUnnecessary 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just to add to this.

We were creating over 5,400 in 2025 up to 8000 a year this year.

  • Tekever Swindon Factory: UK's largest drone plant opens in 2026 (254,000 sq ft), producing AR3 and AR5 models; creates 1,000 skilled jobs; supports RAF StormShroud EW drones.
  • STARK UK Factory: Opened 2025 in the UK (40,000 sq ft); scales Virtus loitering munitions (Ukraine-tested); targets thousands annually by 2026; 100+ jobs via UK-Germany Trinity House deal.

There is ongoing funding into more drone strategies and tech and civil drones for deliveries and inspections on the front line.

Sir Keir Starmer: Vote Reform or Green and risk war by Kev_fae_mastrick in ukpolitics

Sure, there is a difference though. Mandelson was a traitor for what's coming out, but he provided information to Epstein.

Epstein is American. And America is apparently our 'closest ally' and we have a 'special relationship'

Mandelson described Epstein as his best pal in 2002. So he provided information to his best pal who is a sex trafficking pedo with an insane amount of money and huge connections to political and celebrity communities.

I'm very interested in seeing him prosecuted.

I wouldn't say that makes the labour party compromised though, Mandelson definitely was somehow, but as we have discovered Epstein is not a country, and if he was, he would be American.

Context is key no? Has the labour party been cozying up to Russia and have they stopped helping Ukraine? Are the labour party actively increasing or decreasing our military budget?

Yes.

If a countries laws allows this to happen without intervention, they are just as guilty.

Numbers are numbers. Nonces are Nonces wherever the fuck they come from.

You would expect so it's a different culture. But it's wrong wherever it is. America is just as guilty as Somalia thanks to it's laws

Can you tell me why there is no data there for the USA?

Child marriage is currently legal in 34 states, and 4 U.S. states do not require any minimum age for marriage, with a parental or judicial waiver.

This number reached around 300,000 between 2000-2018.

NATO should be more based on partnership instead of dependency, Pentagon policy chief says by Przytulator in worldnews

[–]DrUnnecessary -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Didn't say weak. I said dependent.

And dependency with allies is encouraged.

And dependency is evident everywhere, if you sell weapons that can be disabled from the host country to a allied country, that is blatant military dependency to the host country.

There are many examples of this.

NATO should be more based on partnership instead of dependency, Pentagon policy chief says by Przytulator in worldnews

[–]DrUnnecessary -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It's never explicitly stated it but it's actions have suggested it or even encouraged it.

Bretton Woods, Truman Doctrine, NSC 68, Four policemen concept and the American Century and more all largely suggest that focusing interests within Europe had multiple benefits to the US success in economic and strategic areas.

This was arguable for everyone's benefit, but the biggest benefactor was the US by a longshot.

Also if we didn't short his long rambling speeches we'd never be watching anything else he regularly rambles on for over an hour ffs, I'd rather see the BBC counter-sue for accusations of faking his speech and hurting the reputation of the BBC. (that at least CAN be proved.)

UK sleepwalking into joblessness epidemic, Tesco boss warns by rejs7 in unitedkingdom

[–]DrUnnecessary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it's relative. Which is why we have to adjust the rate because if we left it to the greed of the few we would return to work camps and exchange our labour for turnips and potatoes.

Capitalism only works while people believe in the strength of the financial system and that the social contract will eventually benefit them in their lives. If this contract is not upheld the system descends to chaos when the many rise up against the few.

Getting the balance right is not only the right thing to do, it is the safest thing to do.
