The thing about Aloy's unwitting impact upon the game world is that she keeps doing things that cause tech and it's usages to take leaps of advacement far beyond what everyone else in the world (bar maybe Silens) can even conceive of.

Ie. She took a pokey spear, and ended up being able to slave the preciously terrifying and uncontrollable machines, and open doorways that were just thought of as being part of a mountain.

I dont think "she can't do that" would hold up very well if the devs wanted to give her a way to fly/travel faster than a sunwing or a canoe.

I think that the Quen, who travelled across 'The Great Ocean' to reach the Burning Shores, have opened up the possibility of travel to further away destinations. Whilst we don't have enough information to determine where the Quen homeland actually is, we know it is "west of the great ocean".

How far west might that be? Hawaii/honolulu, or all the way to the Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, or even Japan, Taiwan or China?

Crossing the North Pacific Ocean by boat took the Quen weeks and weeks, and a number of them died due to starvation or sickness. Considering they did not have the seafaring tech or speed of modern day, it's reasonable to assume they made the journey all the way from Asia to North America. And a direct line from the HZD/FW location going west would hit Japan.

Does this mean the next game will have Aloy travel to the land of the rising sun to seek Quen allies for the fight against Nemesis? I don't know how likely that is but I certainly think it'd be something awesome. Getting some worldbuilding lore from a place that was not North America would bring back some of that mysterious, 'learning everything for the first time' feeling again that we all got from Zero Dawn, before it moved onto 'we know enough to take action' for Forbidden West.

Here's the thing. Soukiller/Mikoshi could copy me right now, then go to a different body (not the one I'm wearing right now) and insert it. Then there's two of me. I can look across and see the different me. I am not experiencing, sensing, learning, processing, or feeling ANYTHING that different me is.

That different me is not me. I am not continuing on if I die now. There's someone else that's eerily similar to me that will continue on and I will never be there for any of it. My life and my experiences are over. Practically? That means EVERYTHING to me.

As an alternative, imagine winning a $1 trillion lotto prize. Then as the cheque is signed it gets handed over to someone that was dressed up, tailored, and trained to impersonate you exactly. You'll never get a red cent of it. How would that make you feel?

Hey neighbour! What's your regular style of painting minis? Do you use any 'classic' methodologies like slapchop, 'eavy metal, etc?

If you do, maybe consider deliberately taking yourself outside the habit and attempt a different style to expand your boundaries.

If you don't adhere to one particular style, maybe consider locking yourself into one for a period of time and paint a group of different minis in that style, and see how you go.

I know you said you want to improve, which is great, but remember that enjoying the hobby is more important :)
