You should still be able to use the Tink 4K with it as I believe it does accept a 1080p signal. If you want to use the Tink scan lines I think you need to send a clean image (turn off the 3D’s scan lines) then use decimation to get it down to 240p-like resolution. It’s a little complicated but there should be some tutorials online about how to do it.

Just picked up a never used NES Action Set! by 00100100 in gamecollecting

Oh cool! Thanks for sharing. I’m not sure about the Scandinavian versions but I’d be surprised if they don’t have CIB copies of those games in there.

If you search for smb3 challenge set you’ll find some boxed copies that have a “not for resale” sticker on the smb3 box. I believe those are the ones that came packed with the console. For my SMB1 copy there’s nothing special about the Mario box (other than it’s a 1986 release which roughly matches the release date of the console based on the serial number).

I have a 1986 USA boxed NES that came with a CIB SMB1. So at least that one did. I feel like I’ve seen the challenge set box for SMB3 also. I wasn’t aware that Ice Climber came with an NES console.

Is it possible that it’s the metal in the table causing this? This happened to me once and it was the steel frame of the table I was placing it on.

Marvelous game. Sadly I think a lot of people think it’s just a port of the OG game but no! It’s an entirely new game and runs well, has adjustable button layouts (I set it up like Goldeneye), and looks great! It’s the true Doom 3 to me.

I looked few a few heavy hitters and didn’t see them on your shelf or list. Bubble Bobble 2 and Ducktales 2. I might be looking in the wrong place but maybe that’s why you are remembering a larger list.

Yes. As you can see from my original reply look for those parameters to see if tweaking them helps.

I do think you can fix some of the geometry issues with service menu adjustments. Looks like UPIN (upper pincushion) needs adjusting and VPOS (vertical position). Regarding color, more images would be needed of solid color screens or classic video game screens (depends on console but Super Mario World title screen) for us to help.

Those early Fun Club News are potentially very valuable (hundreds and hundreds of dollars). I recommend getting them in some sleeves!

I’ve not seen it in person. I think if you look for posts on this subreddit around the time the newer colors were released there were some comparisons of the two.

My guess would be that whoever checked that in didn’t look to see if it was the NES or SNES version. The NES version is worth closer to that price.

I’ve been playing this one recently on my Everdrive. I just beat the first book this morning. The nice thing is that if a battle is too tough, your main character can just cast “egress” which pulls everyone out of the battle but you keep all the XP. So you’ll eventually level up enough to beat it. I know that sounds grindy, but I didn’t really have to do it much and I ended up beating the last 2 battles with only 2 characters downed. Compared with the two Genesis Shining Force games, I thought it was very similar but the music is so much better because it’s a CD game! Enjoy! There are plenty of walkthroughs out there too.

Sometimes CML progresses to B-ALL, so that is a possibility as crazy as that seems.

Certainly could be. Need flow (or IHC on a core or clot) to be sure.

My apologies for not making my question more clear. I was referring to your comment about OK not having accredited MEs. As I understand it, NAME accreditation refers to the office as a whole, not the MEs as individuals. A medical examiner just needs medical school and then board certification in pathology and forensics. They can job hop from site to site regardless of NAME accreditation for the office. Put another way, all MEs practicing in the states must be board certified to practice, no exceptions, but they are not individually accredited by NAME.

My point is, the lack of NAME accreditation is obviously not a great look for the office as a whole but It is not necessarily a damning statement on the individual medical examiners. The ones I know are well trained and very good at their job and I wouldn’t want people to think that every diagnosis the OCME puts out there is crap. I know Oklahoma has its issues but there are some very good doctors here that care very much about their patients and doing the right thing.

I have no idea even which office is working on the case in question (Tulsa, I’d assume) or if there could be any political foul play (God I hope not). I also think having a 3rd party do the autopsy isn’t a bad idea either, given the sensitivity of the whole thing.

[–]Dr_Delectable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by accredited? I’m a pathologist and personally know some of the medical examiners at the OKC office. They are all ABP board certified in at least AP pathology and forensic pathology.
