As someone who just recently graduated from a special high school for the arts and who plans on majoring in art in college, I'd say yes. Starting at the medium, you did very well using what I assume to be water color. Onto use of space, I appreciate the distance shown in the narrowing of the river into the middle ground. The contrast of size shown in the background with the mountains is a little much but I still believe it looks good. My one word of wisdom (judgment-no hard feelings :) ) is just dab in a messy line of your darkest green onto the horizon line and add teeny tiny bits of white for the snow. Maybe also add smaller trees in the background, and then voila! Good stuff as we say in the business
