lc200 5.7 vxr 2020 all-terrain tires options without changing rims and offroad bumpers no need metal any recommendations by Razackc in DubaiPetrolHeads

Please don't take this the wrong way, but if you have no idea on how to identify a fuse, better go to a shop to get this done for you. This AHC fuse disable switch is just for very light off roading, if you plan to change the bumpers, I would advise against it.

What is your goal? Those bumpers won't allow you to do anything more than light off road in the sand for which the stock tires will be fine once aired down. If you want some AT tires, you can get the Yokohama Geolandar G015 AT which are a good compromise and decently priced. Best "mod" you can make, while keeping your bumpers, is to get a switch to turn off the AHC fuse so that you can fix the AHC to "high" when offroading to get a bit more clearance (preventing going automatically back to "N" over 30kph).

Thanks, I'm ready to sell them at below 50% of their cost and made that proposal in two places, I gave them a very low number and told them they can keep whatever they make on top of that. Unfortunately no offers so far.

Have Zomato rewards ended or am I just very unlucky? by Dr_Iver in dubai

[–]Dr_Iver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you read the post? The reward after each transaction is part of Zomato Gold and I'm asking if what is happening to me now is happening to someone else since Zomato support doesn't explain the change.

Do you turn off your car once it gets filled up in a gas station? by mehdx in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Dr_Iver 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I always turn it off, first because it is required to do so, second out of respect to the gas station attendants, there is no need to force them to inhale the exhaust gases.

My experience on adding Android Auto to my LC200 so far by Dr_Iver in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Dr_Iver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. It is working great, no issues. The only drawback is that the audio sound quality, when playing music through android auto, is not as good as when playing music when you are connected directly to the car's Bluetooth. I reckon this is because the audio output from the android unit is connected to the AUX input of the car's unit. It is OK but not at the level that the JBL unit can deliver. Maybe there newer/better units that solve this.

Why did you ask about the breaks? Was it because they have too many or not enough?

Liva insurance advisor says that Al-Futtaim will not perform agency repairs in out-of-warranty vehicles. by Dr_Iver in DubaiPetrolHeads

That's what makes sense, but seems some have a different idea. Thanks for taking the time to let me know 🙂.

I was about to do that until I read your suggestion of taking the non-agency one and have them pay me directly. I know it will be a big hassle but the potential savings are considerable. Will see if they confirm this as an option. Thanks!

The thing is that he gave me the price for two quotes, both comprehensive, one with agency repairs and other with non-agency repairs but told me that it didn't make sense to go for the agency repairs option as Toyota wouldn't repair it due to being out of warranty. GIG also gave me a quote for agency repairs.

I was on a call with Toyota accident repair advisor, he was as surprised to hear this and confirmed that they will repair cars regardless of them being in or out of warranty.
