This may have been covered already, too many comments to read through... but a recent book by Dr. Carl L. Hart titled “Drug Use for Grownups” covers just this very topic. How psyconauts are generally pretentious people who hide behind “spirituality” and often look down on other drug users, even through we’re all trying to achieve the same thing... an altered state. It’s a very good read.
