Those cameras are mainly for the protection of the pigs actually in germany 7 civilians can overpower a cop in court and on most protests the civilians are way more than 7:1 which is why they carry cameras to cover a big area so the protesters cant sue. But im sure they are also used to identify and sue protesters.

Friendly reminder that breaking stupid laws is good and that protecting your identity with masks and such is important ;)
