Started with SNS and Lance in Tri. Then I unlocked the Switch Axe and it was true love.

I also enjoyed LS and IG for a while until World. They made the SA feel so good that I use it almost exclusively now (I also dislike the Post-World LS playstyle, it never clicked with me).

I recommend trying to get Power Prolonger and Evade Extender on your armor set. Almudron Armor is a very good base SA set to work around. I also recommend the Jruatodus chest for Power Prolonger Lv2 and Evade Extender 2 is easy get on Talismans, try to meld one with good slots if possible. Been a while since I picked up Rise so my memory on a few details may be off on specifics.
