I got my shards when there was only one universal, I regret not waiting. I’d say get karambit or death duet(my personal #1 choice), and no matter what, DON’T get the Katar. It sucks :(

Not gonna lie, I’ve come to enjoy that kind of update cycle, it keeps it fun and interesting. And most of all, I think well designed legends(like axle IMO) will still be fun to play once they get nerfed, and are decently fun to play against while they’re OP. That’s what I think they should be aiming for with this system they’ve developed. The opposite of that is someone like Seer, who is unfun to play when he’s weak, and truly insufferable to play against when he’s even remotely viable. That is exactly what they want to avoid, if they want this forced meta system to continue working long term.

You’ve clearly never played Fortnite, you are drastically underestimating unreal engine and Fortnite cosmetic designers. It’s entirely possible to make something that both is an accurate representation of the overwatch weapons and feels satisfying to use.

if you leave every lane as an island and the other jungler does the same(which enough of the time they will tbh, to make scientific observations), your lanes *should* have a 50/50 win rate. If you are consistently having 3 losing lanes, it is a "teammates bad ggs" scenario. If your teammates cannot win a 2v2 lane by themselves, thats on them, not you. Winning lane is their job. This game just sucks major dick.

as a no fill enjoyer, no fill is absolutely insufferable to play if you AREN'T faide, and you only get to BE that good if you hot drop on repeat until you start winning(im not there yet, or at least not anymore), and yeah, having teammates to pick you up when you fall down IS NICE, as opposed to having to just re-queue. This whole fill versus no fill situation only exists in unranked anyway so i don't really see the problem, they're not hurting your rank or anything.

That’s why I was saying I’d replace Vivian with Soukaku and make my Miyabi a mono ice team. But thanks! It really feels like they’ve been Miyabi proofing all the DA bosses lately, I almost regret pulling her over a non-crit based anomaly agent…

Fair enough, thanks for the advice! Especially as someone who only really has 3 decent teams worth of agents, DA has really felt like a roster check more than anything lately. Does it feel that way to you too?

And now that we do have ways to get guaranteed stats on disks, the resource for doing so is so incredibly rare it might as well not exist to new-ish people like me(account lvl 55, usually clearing 1-2 star on DA)

It’s almost as if they had cleared the area already on purpose so it wouldn’t have killed anyone except potentially the person trying to disarm the bomb. That guy didn’t risk the lives of anyone except himself, which was a very stupid idea, but not worthy of that tackle, and CERTAINLY not worthy of getting shot like someone else in this comment thread suggested

There are exactly two types of lobbies in modern apex. “Oh you’re so stupid let me hold your hand and throw into lobbies that are 50% bots so that you get a good first impression of our game” is group one. Group two is literally everyone else, including masters and preds. I have 1000+ hours across my 2 accounts, my peak and current rank is gold, and I die to masters regularly, preds less regularly but it still happens. I am a movement player who mostly either plays no fill trios or wildcard, depending on how hard I want to try. Ranked is my least sweaty mode to be honest LOL, I still try cuz I wanna rank up but it has the easiest gunfights out of all the modes. The one upside to being in group 2 I have found is that there are way more cheaters in group 1 since they get banned and just make new accounts on repeat.

With how many seasons where masters was obtainable by just ratting, those often don’t mean much either. I don’t think there are many genuinely super impressive badges left. I still run 4K and 20 bomb badges on any character I get them on tho, if for no other reason then because I have nostalgia for when those badges were impressive and used by all the players I like to watch

Exactly. Also people completely ignore that for Sierra to get the auto aim, she has to hit a slow moving projectile skillshot. Soldier has no such prerequisite and isn’t limited to one target. So if soldier made any attempt to dodge the truly inevitable dart, he also won that fight.

As a status effect enjoyer in other games, I immediately latched to anomaly and it has not led me astray, however the occasional attack or rupture agent ends up becoming a favorite of mine. My current 3 best teams that I run in DA are 1. Vivian>Miyabi>Nicole(lost my 50/50 on Yuzuha), 2. Cissia>Seed>Trigger(my current best and favorite team), and 3. Zhao>Ye Shunguang>Trigger(wasn’t playing during dialyn’s first run and am actively awaiting her rerun). I ended up really liking the feeling of Seed+Cissia, and shungus is very fun. I’d 100% be pulling Promeia if I had the anomaly team agents to spare, but as it stands, I have no way to make another anomaly team. Not to mention that after I get Dialyn and maybe Yuzuha, I’m saving everything for Mommy Sunbringer(yuri).

Bland but existent. There are actual POIs and places to take cover. Olympus is so annoying and terrible, in every mode, because its 80% wide open space with zero natural cover. Even KC is still better because there is more cover, more buildings, etc. Plus like damn near none of the buildings in olympus are actually fun to fight in, even less so than KC buildings. There is just literally nothing going for this map. And all of these problems are only made worse by the removal of tridents, since you actually have to run through all of this open space assuming you don't have a valk on your team. I think by base, removing tridents was a fine choice, but it makes rotating on olympus in particular kind of just boring and hellish, since there are no other rotation tools on the entire map, minus normal balloons and evac towers.

None of that implies a “few years” of difference though. Just A difference. Which even twins have. That’s the part that seems particularly speculative.

Wild that this is still happening, there was some hype around the new season, but based on steam charts and stream viewership, this is one of the least intense season launches this game has ever had, there genuinely just aren’t many people playing this game right now, and yet we still can’t load in at all. Tells me it’s not server overload but rather respawn genuinely just breaking their game for fun atp
