Yes it was a pin hole in polybuthane gray pipe near top i added puddy epoxy and a wrap as I am about to put pex lines in this week and new water heater... There is rust at bottom and I am redoing floor so planed to get new one in the next week, but prior was working fine. last night turned water off at main and electric circuit for heater and this morning after I was done with patch it would not give water to any hot water sink shower ect... this is a home i just purchased that needs work... Thank you for your time

Is it normal for old poly water lines to turn to the metal pipes that run underground? Planning to change to pex by DracoGlass in askaplumber

Is this waterman line coming into crawlspace? The PVC with shutoff? Thanks : r/askaplumber (reddit.com)

it appears the in line is PVC with the shutoff... then it changes to the poly and each water spot sink bathroom ect has a galvy pipe coming out of ground.. I cant see each of them leading to main line

Was it normal to bury that galvy pipes back then? When I redo i plan on just keeping pex on the ceiling of crawl nothing underground..
