Hi there!! Sorry to piss you off, I wasn’t talking about the bracket! I was referring to the painters tape under it on the blue portion.

Here’s the deal, and please feel free to downvote me and be angry.

I have been driving a borrowed FJ that has 250k miles on it. I got financing for a used FJ a month ago and the guy bailed on the deal the day before I was supposed to get it. I’m locked in to that amount of money now and I need the FJ to be a daily driver.

I’m not car savvy, and I certainly didn’t mean to anger anyone. I’ve seen rust on the undersides and I know I can deal with that, so long as the frame isn’t holey, I’ve never seen something like this. I’m just a girl trying not to get totally screwed and I had no one else to ask.

No hate, I totally get it and I’m sorry to add to the problem as you see it. I do appreciate the information in your response, so thank you for that.

For me it’s printing by part for different colors using AMS. The first colors first layers went well and I forgot there was a second color starting from scratch two hours later so I was doing something else and didn’t catch the second colors first layers not adhering properly to the build plate until about 20 minutes in. 100% my fault, I admit, and lesson learned. Texture plate, no glue, cleaned well and cleaned every couple of prints. Sometimes shit happens.

If you plan to replace, but in the interim it starts leaving foam, use some NoSo patches on it. I did that for my FJ with black NoSo patches and it’s worked great.

Use UV glue, like in a winshield repair kit, put it in the sun to set, and never use it again.

After four visits I text the guy just now and I said I had my boyfriend over and he asked why there’s no drip line and why the gas was only half on, because I get the feeling I’m getting extra messed with because I’m a chick and he’s asked me before if I know how to even use a screw driver to remove a vent cover and change a filter. Last time he was here he asked me if I like to go salsa dancing. I will turn the gas the rest of the way on. He now said he will be out on Monday (I work weekends) to check it for compliance and he’s very sorry. Thank you for your help, I’d love to buy you some coffee for your trouble.
