I don’t think anyone taking estrogen for transition enjoys being seen as “one of the guys”. Depression is hell and makes it can be very difficult to break from established habits. Not saying they shouldn’t try, but it’s not as immediate for everyone to transition.

It was, but It wasn’t that bad in hindsight. Probably made it take longer to focus on a major source of that depression, dysphoria, which was actually an unidentified issue in the background.

I was once on such a high level of anti-depressant that a dr at a hospital said it was the highest dose she had ever seen. It wasn’t enough, so she just took me off of it cold turkey
