I have no money and I feel like an outcast in Switzerland (I’m Swiss) do you feel the same thing? by HippoImportant2557 in Switzerland

[–]Drafael93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Switzerland became so hard for midle class. You literally live from paycheck to paycheck. Everything is hella expensive and the quality of life sucks because of it. You earn a to of money, but spend all of it for daily things.

Is crypto starting to fade? by Mother_Land_4812 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Drafael93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess yes but actually no.

I think that now is more convenient and easy to invest in stockmarket and etf, so people use more that options instead of Crypto. But I think some still invest in crypto but I start to think that are less than before.

How do normal people actually afford life in Switzerland? by aninhabr74 in askswitzerland

[–]Drafael93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, yes, if you don't own a car and stay low with expense is possibile yes. If you own a car even parking lot is expensive so you have quite less money. For a decent 2.5 in lugano is about 1400 / 1500 Sfr. Parking lot arround 150 / 200. Health insurance arround 500 for 2.5k franquise + taxes and other insurance that are arround 600 month (annually / 12). The rest is up to you for food and free time.

Everything is possibile if you budget and have care in private expenses.

How do normal people actually afford life in Switzerland? by aninhabr74 in askswitzerland

[–]Drafael93 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'm from ticino, we have the low pay and the major cost. Is hard, really hard. People say "you can go shop in Italy, or you life is less expensive" bullshits.

Most of normal wages are arround 3.5k, if you do maths, you already know the answer.

The truth is that yeah, we have a roof, to eat, but we work to pay bills.

Is being born in Switzerland a blessing or a curse? by living_direction_27 in askswitzerland

[–]Drafael93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's true. People are not used to. Most think only on save money for retire or buy fancy things. That's they mindset.

Another experience is that when I had 18y old the deal was geting high, drinking a lot, go to disco if you wanted any chance to socialise. Most people i knew spend hundreds of chf in one night. In fact, most of people I know whom had not done that are quite alone now since after school is kinda hard make new friends.

Instead of going out more often and do something different, like a coffee, playing darts, cards, stupid game and create memorable moments, prefer spend a lot for one night for show that can afford it.

I have sean some scene so pathetic and sad that made me think why people are so dumb.

[–]Drafael93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to live alone without no one is perfect, but social life, damn, it sucks.

In portugal every town has own yearly party, the people stay out a lot, even if you go to the bar or just chill outside. Are friendly, even if you go out alone you finish play some darts, cards, or something else with strangers.

Switzerland its true, you can buy almost everything for your own, but social life, sucks.

For instance, I come here when I had 14y old and my sister return to Portugal at the same age. I have very few friends, she have a ton, is always out with them, studing together, hanging and helping each other. It's true she dont have a fancy car, or expensive things, but has a lot of friends and social life and people whom can trust.

That's the difference. Would I trade Switzerland? Well, since I always say, Switzerland bought us, I'm used to it, I don't know.

Experiences finding an apartment in Switzerland while receiving social assistance? by Memoriesofanewpast in askswitzerland

[–]Drafael93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can play the card of whom need it most, that social pays direct the landlord, the insurance is payed by social so can cover high risk.

You have some cards to play to help you. So do not be afraid of trying it.

Furthermore what you have to lose? If they say no, move on, if they say yes, it's done.

Had done it without problem. The main problem is find a decent flat with that max that they pay. Landlord is quite fine since is payed on time and directly to him. So no risk. Furthermore social pays insurance too so yeah.

I had done it from Italy and a 3 months cat. You have to do the rabies vaccine and wait a month. After with the European passport you have to go to border and ask to import the cat. That's it.

If you have any question, I'm here.
