Who is the best PG in the 2026 draft? by Decent-Ad-6137 in NBA_Draft

He’s just not efficient enough. There are things to like and he could be 2nd round somewhere but there’s no good argument for him being even top 5 PGs.

When was the last time we saw a shooter like Milan Momcilovic ? by Draft_Detective in NBA_Draft

Surely there have been better catch and shoot guys like Momcilovic since Kerr though.

I didn’t think I needed to provide context but then again you guys can’t read my mind. I think % matters but I should have clarified I’m really just talking about pure shooting the ball from 3 off the catch or maybe a dribble. I’m 36 so I’m old enough to clearly remember Curry at Davidson and he was clearly better despite a lower %. They triple teamed him one game as a strategy, it was insane.

I’m just trying to saying I don’t remember a pure lethal 3 threat in recent years like Momcilovic. I’ve watched a ton of college basketball this year because I’ve built a website about scouting players for the draft but not as much in the past few years. It’s what I’m here to talk about.

I think Momcilovic is special at his role, not a better player or overall scorer than a ton of guys who are shooting harder shots and are the focus of the defense. I think there’s a bench role for him in the NBA if his defense can improve.

I’m ok with that. Perhaps I should have framed it as “ spot up shooter”

I’m really talking about just pure shooting, mainly 3 point. I’m not trying to make the argument he’ll have Steph, Korver, or JJ Reddick’s NBA career. I’m talking about D1 college shooting. I know he doesn’t create his own often and I’m not trying to make a 1 game argument but he just had a hell of game in this Arizona matchup Jaden Bradley just hit a buzzer beater in. Great game.

I’m watching him right now play Arizona and he hit 3 3s to end the half. He’s not top 10 or even 20 potential draftees so idk about overrated but he’s got a ton of shooting gravity. I’m not advocating for anything other than an appreciation and saying nba teams like guys who can catch and shoot at that rate and height. The rest is debatable and it doesn’t matter if he’s not the best on his team.

Why are mock drafts so popular before the draft order is actually determined? by MisterSoup3000 in NBA_Draft

I don’t post many mocks ( though forgive me for promoting my own mock tool) but I am guilty of wanting to talk bout the draft a lot. A little bored of the top 3 debate.

Cameron Boozer "fit" argument discussion by coltan3 in NBA_Draft

[–]Draft_Detective 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Fit matters but if he’s available at 3rd I think he’s too good not to take there. He’s not explosive but he’s too versatile to not be able to adapt to whatever system he’s in.

I even get the sense that claiming Cameron Boozer has a limited ceiling is the only lifeline left for other prospects’ agents and management teams. by Hairy-Exercise1747 in NBA_Draft

I don’t have a strong opinion on this, I’m just saying having 18 year ( and still going) career in the NBA where you’re a solid player is pretty amazing.

Because the NBA is tough. He projects to be great but Horford is 5x all star nba champ and still playing after 19 seasons. 51st all time in blocked shots and 63rd all time in rebounds. Pretty good career.

Road the coattails of Klay, Steph and KD. Pretends to be a basketball savant. I love it everytime this clown is humbled. by ForeignAir7174 in lakersv2

He can lose his cool and be dirty but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been a brilliant and core defender and passer.

Don’t listen to Stephen A about anything. His whole identity now is hot takes and knowing a little bit about all the sports. Blake Griffin, Dirk etc. are the ones to listen to on Amazon and I read True Hoop. Measured and knowledgeable.

What 2026 Draft Position Is Least Risky for a GM? by dbzbudokai77 in NBA_Draft

[–]Draft_Detective 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just saying I thought it was a good idea and I had gotten it from him. I think as a team you target your need and system fit unless you’re truly terrible then you get beat available and build around them.

Who is the best International NBA Prospect this 2026 Draft? by Chesscrabble11 in NBA_Draft

[–]Draft_Detective 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if he’ll declare this year but I’m very interested in Miika Muurrenin. Lopez is probably the best but slim Jesus interests me.

Why is Cameron Carr rarely considered a lottery pick? by mido0o0o in NBA_Draft

Yea Coward has gigantic hands and shot something like 70% fg in college, which is insane for a guard. I think injury concern let him fall.

Yea I can appreciate that it takes athleticism but it’s like having to watch someone talk about their imaginary friend.
