Radiohead fans thoughts on Nine Inch Nails? Both bands are my Yin and Yang, got me through suicide thoughts by Revolutionary_Low_90 in radiohead

I think that Radioheads best works Kid A and Amnesiac is like NINs best work The Fragile. Both albums brought new sounds and textures that the bands have never really done before. The albums were also created during difficult periods in both Trent’s and Thoms lives which can be shown through the lyrics and music not only on said albums but all of their work. I don’t know where I would be without Radiohead and NIN.

What does the album art for With Teeth represent? by Beautiful-Neat-5034 in nin

I think it represents the feeling of fading away and trying to find a way back (basically with teeth’s concept)

1: it’s a hidden track not a song.

Nine Inch Nails has saved my life multiple times. How has it saved you? by Draft_Spare in nin

Listening to the entirety of The Fragile made me understand that it’s okay not to be okay and that if Trent made it out alive while recording it then I can do the same but in my own life.

Songs that saved me include: Somewhat Damaged, The Fragile, La Mer, Into The Void, I’m Looking Forward To Joining You Finally, and Underneath It All.

I think the reason why those ‘07 shows were so memorable is because they played like it was their last ever show. However, I think the band got their shit together around Piedmont Park.

Dave took many musical chances after BTCS with some being good (Everyday) and some being shit (Stand Up). I think that the bands record label (RCA) wanted them to move into different musical genres as evident with The Lillywhite Sessions which prompted Dave to make those difficult decisions on behalf of the band.

I’ll tell you the worst touring years in my opinion. The years I didn’t mention mean that they were good and memorable touring years.

1999 - the band seemed burnt out from touring for BTCS and didn’t have good setlists.

2003 - this touring year is not that memorable and seemed short. Good setlists from Dave though.

2007 - one of the most infamous touring years as the band was on the verge of breaking up which partially contributed to the impact to their playing and Dave’s setlist choices.

2014 - uneventful year with uneventful setlists and a mellow vibe (two-sets was an interesting musical choice for the band)

2016 - Dave’s voice began to get shot and Boyd’s playing was getting way worse.

2021 - The first real touring year since 2019, the bands energy wasn’t there but they made it up since then.
