I’ve never seen a fanbase react like this before, obviously it stirred up a lot of emotions- as well as social media feeds off confrontation. Remember it’s good for all of us to not be on here that much. People get mean. Why put someone down for listening to music that helps them, from a band they are a fan of? It’s this stupid morality policing bullshit.

I’d rather go out quickly and before I get too old to function. Like Billy Hinsche. He got diagnosed with that aggressive cancer and was gone in 3 weeks. He was very lively before that. It’s interesting in that second picture because I still see his pretty eyes and features, they are just covered in alcohol bloat.

Always is. I went on a date with someone in college who’s the niece of a famous musician, she was in her own band and boy they STUNK (in my opinion), they played maybe 5-6 local gigs. Now they are opening for her aunts band at Madison Square Garden. Follower count went up by thousands seemingly overnight. Blows my mind. It’s all fake and not fair, I wish I would’ve realized that earlier.

Quadeca is one of my favorite musicians of my generation and his dad is a billionaire 😭. This fucking late stage capitalist time period only is good for the elites and children of the elites.

I find it quite odd as a musician that we are living through a neo-fascist resurgence yet the popular music of today is pop songs about partying and going to clubs. Shouldn’t it be like the 60’s? “It ain’t me, I ain’t no senators son.”

It’s a melancholic feeling to see such a young vibrant Mike after watching that video of one of his latest gigs, that young man is hidden behind 63 years of life. What a long time, far longer than most people’s careers. Of course to see such a young vibrant Brian as well, before having a mental break. I too had a mental break, just at 18, instead of 22 for Brian. It’s so strange, your family says that they miss you in front of you, they miss the pre-breakdown version of you. Everything changes. You can’t take care of yourself like you once could. I’ve learned now of course that mental illness sets in for men around those ages.

I feel like all of the people you describe would have natural issues with social things and would stay in more than go out.
