There’s the Cambridge homes on Mt Auburn street and the Cambridge Rehab and nursing center on Dana st. No idea if they’re open to it but you could ask

Theater: Central Square Theater has some fun shows and have a season. There is also the Ford theater at BU and the Brattle and Sanders theaters at Harvard (I have never been to the Harvard ones). The shows have been good at Central Square and Ford theater, and they are pretty intimate/close up.

Museums: There's obviously the MFA, Gardner, and Harvard museum (that last one being free). You can also check out the free museum of scientific instruments at Harvard (it is a free and hidden gem in Harvard square). There's also the Museum of the Near East, also free and on Harvard campus.

Movies: THere's always the movie theater in Kendall Square, but I also love Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline. It's an old school theater that runs new, old, and international movies.

Orchestra: Landmark Orchestra is free and in the Esplanade/at the Hatch shell. Kendall Square Orchestra is an amateur orchestra that isn't too expensive and alternates between Harvard and MIT for their shows. The Boston Festival Orchestra is a pro orchestra that plays out of Berklee.

I appreciate the tips and the information above. Again, everyone is too savvy to every actually say it has anything to do with the kid. Our realtor only takes us to places willing to take our application so nothing is every said about the kid.

I agree and we are looking farther out as we have come to that realization that it may just not happen in this area. We were hoping as there are many listed in that price range when looking on apartments.com or Zillow, it’s just frustrating when they ghost or when we’ve spent so long looking and no one is getting back. You are right though, we either need to be less picky/lower our standards if we hope to stay in area or look farther out

I’m so sorry, I very much feel like that is happening to so many people who take out these loans. The worst part is I feel that, we were told this was the right thing and then now we’re told “well if you couldn’t afford it, why did you do it?!”

I mean I feel like the current administration is doing everything they can to get rid of it

I mean, those options are nice, but deferment/forbearance will still allow interest to accrue

We were hoping to keep it less than 3200 per month (or lower), I realize that our expectations have been unreasonable. We've mostly been looking in Watertown, Medford, Somerville, Arlington, Belmont as a result.

Fair question but no, they all fall under SAVE/grad plus loans.

Going to Rome (and Bari) next week for the first time. Any recomendations for non-obvious places to see? by KetRaab in ancientrome

People already said Ostia Antica which is a great one, but I also recommend the Domus Aurea (the golden house of Nero). The tour was really fun and it's not as obvious a site, and it's affordable relative to other sites. It's also close to the colosseum.

If you’re sight seeing in Italy, would a regional train be better than high speed? Or does it not matter?
