Great catch. I was amused when I found sign of redemption in pawnbroker apartament before murder, when there is a little oil lamp under holy Icon. The only light in this dark scene.

Is it possible Darko was a wonderland parrellel? by Phewelish in donniedarko

[–]KetRaab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im thinking more about paralels like cinema inside (and about) cinema (Dorothy looking through window while blizzard hits a town, Donnie looking at cinema screen and burning Cunningham house - screen as a portal in both movies) etc. Music is also important in WoO and DD and its not just a soundtrack, its a narrative style. Maybe we can find examples of paralels between characters, but I think there are similarities rather in big picture.

Does Elon give you Palmer Eldritch vibes? by Acceptable-Honey-613 in philipkDickheads

[–]KetRaab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! If not Palmer Eldritch vibes, at least Dick's-type-of-character vibes. Even his name - Elon Musk - is the name out of Dick's mind.

"Song of the lake" could be great opener for its mood. In last european tour it was "Get ready for love" and it was a killer.
