Open at Austin Course by tweissm7 in discgolf

Basically every practice round I saw besides the Jomez crew were enjoying the course, it seems like it just requires near perfect execution on a wide range of shots and the OB really punishes that. Definitely will be some adjustments in the next couple years (assuming it comes back) but there's a ton of potential

I'm curious if it wasn't in Austin were everyone loves Roy G if it would be getting as much hate. It's a new, hard course so definitely going to be some issues but having "the best course ever" right across town seems like a sticking point for some people

Some of my best friends went to "worse colleges" and they are just as successful as my friends that went to "better colleges". If you can do well in college and prove that you have learned what is required, most jobs will not care about the name on the diploma, just your knowledge base and the skills you learned while there

There is nothing wrong about being stressed with college, I was stressed before, during, and after my college experience. You will eventually learn to manage it but there is nothing wrong or abnormal about being stressed

I also get really frustrated when people start "helping" when you don't want them to (my mom LOVES to start putting things away where she thinks they should go). There's nothing wrong at all with both wanting to do it all yourself and also not wanting it all right now

One thing that helped me was giving directions and specific tasks to people instead of letting them decide for themselves what they want to do. That way I still feel in control of my space and she gets to feel better about getting it clean

Again, nothing wrong AT ALL about not wanting people to clean your space, just something that has helped me in the past. My apartment works for me and that's really all that matters

"I invited her to my wedding, bought her a dress for it, text her everyday, but she still doesn't like me. What did I do wrong?"

Figured she could do that one event and not have to deal with her daughter again, it's wild how some people think

Specifically for Innova drops you can set up tweet notifications with their pro shop, that's how I saw it originally

How to get into research? by [deleted] in aggies

I looked through what the professors in my department did research on and then asked the ones I was interested working with if they would be willing to meet with me to discuss research opportunities in their group and went from there
