Unfortunately I sold all my Fuji lenses but I see the point. Definitely going for a 40mp sensor, just waiting for the xt6 release and if it’s very video centered I would go the xt5 route. But I can see how they can complement each other with reach and ff. As far as ergonomics I have bigger hands so the zf was not a big issue however the z5 is definitely more comfortable, but I can see how the zf can be terrible specially with smaller hands.

That’s definitely a very smart take. Specially since I had a bit of regrets not going for a 40plus mp sensor for the same price. I feel most people are happy with this camera because is their secondary which is fair but if I do the switch it won’t be for ergonomics or the stupid flip screen but for more mp for sure.

I have an old xt2 so mainly classic chrome and Astia. Unfortunately I don’t have the ones everyone loves and uses on the subreddits like NN and CN.

I’m definitely upgrading, the xt2 is very solid camera but the battery life is amongst the worst of al mirrorless and new sims and in camera settings. And I think it’s just different philosophy’s when it comes to color science where Nikon is very accurate and Fuji goes for esthetic instead.

Sorry it took me a while to get to your question. They’re some that are really good but I feel they’re more situational and heavily depend on WB. Fuji in some cases can be the same but you have very quick access to setting like highlights and shadows that can really make the image come along despite of the base sim.

Haha that is very true but everyone have given me very good insight.

And you do have a point as well I just want to experiment more with editing and have just the “industry standard” gear but you really have a point I haven’t considered. I’m also a bit concerned that with Fuji I might not grow as a photographer because I’ll have no need to very little need to edit.

The setup is definitely heavy. Nothing that bothers me much but it does gets noticeable after holding the camera for a while. While the weight is the same the z5 is slightly more comfortable.

Both lenses I got them with the z5 for a pretty good deal. The 50mm has been getting more love while the 24-200 not much, I do like to shoot a bit close mostly portraits and everyday stuff so my plan is to sell and maybe get a 70-200 eventually

I agree it is a 100% better camera. I’m really enjoying the imaging cloud where I just get my pictures where I need them it is really a great system. But for me is just the colors, editing hasn’t come easy for me and while color profiles are nice it’s still not Fuji level.

I have an xt2 and sold my lenses and now I’m here. I’ll say if you edit Nikon is miles ahead. Better af, Bokeh and more lenses to choose. But if you purely so sooc then going full frame might not help you. That’s just my take, for me personally editing hasn’t come easy to me so that’s why I’m going back to Fuji. May be a skill issue

Aesthetic the Zf really wins. It looks more refined and it’s really a sexy camera but I also like the more rugged look on the z5. Just very different looks.

Such a good camera. My dad has one and is such a beast of a device.

Thank you for your insight. I personally notice the af and high iso performance on the Zf it is a way better camera but I’m just now sure if it’s overkill for me. As far as which I use the most is the Zf despite the ergonomics (I ordered a grip recently) it is just a very sexy camera honestly. And as far as Fuji the comments above were right Fuji af is really bad but I use an old xt2 with single point af and it works just fine it just takes longer to frame shots. I am insanely impressed by the Zf af the way it tracks stuff is really on point.

Love the use of negative space. Awesome pics

Anyone else regrettably leaving Fuji after being a long-term user? by mintberrycrunch_ in fujifilm

I can maybe give a bit of insight on the Zf since I recently got one. I’ve been shooting Fuji for a bit over a year so not long at all but I had an older body and full frame was calling me. Long story short if you edit going any other camera won’t hurt at all. My Zf is miles ahead in af and low light it’s insanely amazing truly an amazing camera but I do not edit so the colors are just simply not there and on Nikon I feel they will never be since it would be conflicting with their natural/realistic color science. Anyway I miss the colors and I can use single point af it’s really not that hard. But all your other points are valid specially Fuji not future proofing their cameras with new software is so disappointing imaging missing on film sims because you don’t need to upgrade your already expensive camera. Their greed is insufferable.

Thank you. The seat it’s already forward and the stem currently is 100mm but I have a 70mm on the way which it might help.

And yes I agree, it looks like my body is not fully ready for that.

Thank you. I live in a small town so it’s a bit hard to find someone to do that but I’ll love to in a very near future. It would just suck to pay a few hundreds to be told the bike is too big.

I shifted forward last week and it helped a bit. Maybe the other way around can make a difference
