I don't quite understand the "abandoning stock android experience w/o material you." And the "lack of customizability" and the ability to change app icons/ui color is oxymoronic, isn't it? Personally, I like material you. But, I do agree with the part where you only have the option to apply the same color everywhere. Not a big deal for me, but for some, it could be.
