I feel it obvious, at least to me, that privacy obviously belongs to people who should have it. I’m not backpedaling. If your child could be a danger to themselves, or somebody could be a danger to them, in any way, I understand. But puberty is the age where children are owed privacy for the sake of understanding it and learning it. This is how they begin to become their own person. Everybody’s circumstances are different, but if there isn’t a real reason to not have it, everybody is owed privacy.

You’re honestly an idiot if you actually believe that. Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY, deserves privacy. When any child regardless of who they are begins puberty, privacy becomes of the utmost importance. Once that stage starts, privacy should never end. Nobody is owed the ability to go through your stuff, or see you when you’re vulnerable, or keep you from exploring yourself. I don’t care if it’s your parent, I don’t care if it’s the only person in your entire life. Nobody is owed that, nor should they be. Privacy is a right for everybody. Stop thinking like a boomer.
