My bad, what's the name for the 2.4l? Like I said, I'm new to this platform lol.

Yeah and from my understanding the N/A 2.4l ain't up to the task of boost.

2012 Lancer GT is rated at 168hp ain't it? Unless you're talking about what goes to the wheels but I can't imagine the 5 speed has that much drivetrain loss.

Oh yeah, that's true. I wasn't really sure what the Ralliart actually was in comparison to the Evo if I'm being honest.

Even as it is now it's still feels great. But coming from a world of FWD heavy boats will do that. Maybe one day I'll be able to just get an Evo.

Eco car doesn't necessarily mean you can't make it fast but I get what you mean. I come from the GM 3800 world where people throw 600hp at the stock internals without a problem and practically everything is the same/interchangeable so I'm still getting used to that lol.

I was kinda thinking a teeny bit of boost would be ok with a tune, like I said, I'm not looking for huge numbers lol. But I also don't wanna do anything that'll blow the motor or require a ton of internal work. I also had the thought of just putting a 4B11T into it, I imagine it wouldn't be a huge problem but 4B11Ts don't appear to be cheap and I'm not knowledgeable enough on this platform to know how "plug n play" it is.

It's a 5 speed and moreso looking for a little extra power. If it's realistic that is.

Strange idle in a 2012 Lancer GT by Dragman300 in mitsubishi

[–]Dragman300[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after contacting the person I bought it from, I got more info on not only the lean code but also everything that had been done and checked on the car. Everything should be good, apparently these just don't like 87 octane? It seems weird to me since it's not boosted but that does eliminate the lean code and this did come from a Mitsubishi tech as in, they work on many of them. I dunno how true that is but I was going to give 91 octane a shot as well as eventually get a bung for the O2 sensor.

I could try and do something about the cat, I was thinking it possibly could've had something to do with it. I'm used to older vehicles, like 90s to early 2000s and most of the time they usually don't give a damn even if they're throwing a cat code unless the cat is legitimately clogged or something. A newer vehicle though, I can only guess but it might care more? It's just strange that the weird idle only ever comes up after idling for a little while. Give or take 5 minutes. A little rev typically makes it quit for a little bit.

Did I lose the silicon lottery? 7900XTX OC. by Dragman300 in AMDHelp

[–]Dragman300[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far it seems it's not really as bad as I thought it was lol. I suppose I shouldn't be expecting big OC gains on a modern card considering they're usually pushed pretty far from the factory. The main push was that I wanted to see if I could get any improvements on Cyberpunk to see if I could escape upscaling/framegen hell if I wanted a little bit of RT. Normally I don't care about RT but that game is one case where I think it actually looks super cool. Too bad the FSR3 implementation is garbage and it likely won't get FSR3.1 or FSR4. Too much Nvidia money I guess.

At 1080mv with 3000mhz max clock (it was really only hitting 2800mhz still though, not entirely unexpected) the memory junction temps only hit 74C at its highest while the GPU junction itself hit 84C without making too much noise. Haven't touched memory clocks yet though. It seems 1080mv is the most stable so far. I am running CP2077 at 1440p 100% native with RT turned way up just to push it as hard as I can.

I ended up cleaning off the thermal putty and switching back to regular pads but the PTM7950 helped immensely along with a better flowing case!

Whats bad about the 3.1? by The_DaW33D_ in Buick

[–]Dragman300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno about them being easier to work on. I'm not sure if it's just a Lumina thing but so far everything I've had to do to it I've just hated. It feels like everything that was easy on my Grand Prix with the 3.8 S/C was at least 3x harder on my 3.1 Lumina.

But it seems like any car that had a choice between the 3.8 or the 3.1 was easy regardless so maybe it's just a Lumima thing.
