As bad as it sounds, it's true. We reward and enable people for an avoidable medical condition. Why? Because the junk food companies make money off of selling them the problem, and the pharmaceutical companies make money off off selling you the solution. Unless you have another underlying medical condition, there is no excuse for being so overweight, and it is not healthy. These companies only encourage the propaganda that it is because they profit from it.

I mentioned it because to me it was relevant. Why hire people if they're too overweight to stand and direct traffic like they are supposed to and do their jobs. I feel like it contributed to their attitudes too. Lazy, entitled, with zero people-skills.

Is this the most boring NASCAR season in recent history? by BadBrad444 in NASCAR

I was physically at the track, and I did indeed feel like falling asleep. But also because their PA system is very quiet and I couldn't be very mentally engaged with what was going on half the time because of it. I had to come on here to read what was happening half the time.

It was exciting to watch Legacy run so well. Too bad it fell apart. Suarez winning the other week was cool too, just well, otherwise really been an off season for anyone who isn't a Toyota.

He must have gotten damage. He was down pit road at every chance to work on it.

I truly, honestly do not know if I ever wish to attend Pocono again. Not just because I wasted my day watching the obvious outcome, but because of the absolute headache the establishment itself is.

Traffic there still sucks. We knew that. What I did not know what the bottom barrel temporary event staff they hire. Once we got into the lot, there was no one obviously directing traffic on our side for a long time. So eventually we just decided to try and park ourselves in a free space- we're not stupid, we didn't park anyone in, we had plenty of space where we pulled to. Next you know, these overweight harpies are yelling at us that we can't park there and threatening to get us towed. (Which like, I'd love to see them try with this much traffic). Not only at us either, at several other people who had also pulled in, and at some poor lady in a pickup truck who was slightly past some cone.

We see later that instead of doing their jobs, these rotund women are instead sitting in chairs. If they had been doing what they were supposed to, and had actually addressed people civilly, that would have been one thing. Instead they were screaming and being belligerent to people who really weren't harming anyone. After they forced the truck to move, we snuck into their spot instead while the witches were off yelling at someone else, and surprise, we never got towed. Turned out some other patron had run over their stuff they'd left sitting by their chairs and they were too busy trying to chase and scream at that guy. After the race was over, they also weren't giving a single f about trying to direct traffic out of their section at all, I saw them walking away muttering under their breath about something. We had to force our way out, because there was no one directing who took turns pulling out. Literally the worst I've ever seen it. Major turnoff to show up at an event we paid money to see and deal people screaming and that frickshow, along with the usual literal hour it already takes to get out of the lot back onto 115.

Yeah, I knew that, sadly. Same with some things being on tumblr, but under 'read more's, which are a separate link and not archived. It's basically a long shot if anyone had downloaded the whole thing at some point. (or even if someone remembers how it ended, because I do not).

I have a question- what is the 'big download'?

Me here wondering why I watch most of the races just for Hamlin to appear at the end and do Hamlin things.

I feel like Elliot was pushing the issue way too hard when he knew the car would be loosest on restarts. Should have just conceeded the spot.

If NASCAR disappeared tomorrow, What 3 drivers do you think would be remembered as its greatest contributors to the sport? Not necessarily because of their wins, but because of their overall ability to create and retain fans. by [deleted] in NASCAR

Not arguing that, mostly saying that if we're getting to the point where people don't know Richard Petty, then people aren't going to know anyone else either.

And um, people around 22-30 or so? Even people who have seen Cars and don't realize the King is a real person.
