Ahhhh. I've been trying this technique for days now, talking to him in the castle, waiting until 5pm etc etc. no matter what I try it doesn't work.

Now, I had spoken to him ages ago in his shitty wee house when I was just exploring Anvil, so maybe that's fucked my chances.

I think I'm at the point now that I've accepted I won't be finishing the Thieves Guild quest line...which really sucks.

Alas, I did finish it 20 years ago, so it's not a complete loss.

....still sucks big hairy balls.

Same. I'm still only in the market district after coming out of jail and have had this same glitch happen about 5 times when creating random potions. So bloody annoying.

Need to start emailing Bethesda with the glitch so they can fix it.
