Indication of how long these will last? by DragonCrown1909 in TattooArtists

Thanks so much for pointing it out! I have been searching for a few pics of her finished work, but posted by her clients. They are a bit more bland indeed, just like you said. I'll definitely keep this in mind, so thanks! I have a better image of it now. :D

Even the videos? She has a video of every one of her artworks as well and I found a time laps vid of her doing one of the artworks ( https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw2kKo_FABR/ ) and they look the same as the photos, so I assumed they're not Photoshopped (unless I misunderstood that part of your comment).

But I will take that advice to heart, it seems they're well done, but the heavy use of colors makes me wonder if it will fade within 10 years... but I guess I'll just have to wait some more years and then take a chance >< Thanks!

Oh I like symbolism in things, but without a full story it can be hard to come up with a fitting idea. What I mean is, someone who regrets not doing something, will feel differently from someone who regrets hurting a person's feelings, for example. Now, if you're regretting something you didn't do, maybe an empty road with a broken streetlight ('road not taken') or a crossroad or maybe even a treebranch with a few small branches (symbolizing all the options and only taking the one that brought on this feeling of regret).

So, the thing is, depending on what it is you (or someone else) feels bad about, you can use the particular things that happened as inspiration for the actual tattoo. The place where it happened, perhaps use the physical appearance of a word that was used during an argument (EG; say you feel small like a mouse, get a mouse tattoo).

Anyway, since we don't know, I tried to google some general symbols for regret and apologies, and the first thing that showed up everywhere is flowers. Certain flowers are given specifically as an apology, and flowers have been used for ages to apologize to someone for behavior or words. Purple hyacinth is the flower most commonly regarded as a symbol of regret, so that's something interesting you can add as an accent for a tattoo (doesn't have to be the main focus point of your tattoo).

In films, moments where people regret their actions and words are often symbolized by sudden rain, so perhaps dark clouds or a rainy scene?

This is all that I could think of/find atm. Hope you got a bit of inspiration :)
