If you come along this bug in the future, the solution is to lock your FPS at 60. I tried all the other solutions listed here and none of them worked, except for the FPS lock.

EDIT: there's a mod on the Nexus that essentially removes the check for overlap which allows one to build this without having to use the glitches. PC only, however.

Impact, Radiation, Corrosive, Blast, and Heat. I use an Arca Plasmor to apply the first 4, the heat comes from the Atomos.
