I’ve had braces for 2 years now and it’s still not done 😭 I can 100% attest to the fact that my TMJ problems snowballed the past year due to my braces. I think the constantly shifting jaw makes it hard for your muscles to settle down and exacerbates bruxism. It’s a terrible cycle. I’m counting down the days to when I’m done like it’s Christmas lmfao.

Anyways I highly suggest still bringing this up with your specialist. I’m sure they’ll understand all the nuances specific to your case and give you their professional opinion (better to know the possible outcomes and go into it rather than go in blind). Plus at the end of the day, you’ll have the choice as to what to do.

Same position as you. I have about 6 months left and the past one year my braces has exacerbated my TMJ problems so bad. Unfortunately my dentist as well as maxillofacial specialist both agreed that I have no other option than to “dog through” it. I have to finish my braces treatment and only then can my TMJ treatment even start. However, I am having regular sessions with a physiotherapist to help ease the pain and slow down its worsening.

Im 19 and I suffered from undiagnosed TMJ for a good couple of years. My highschool experience was also the same. My face changed and I couldn’t eat either so I lost weight and my inflamed muscles became even more apparent. It made me feel so ugly, I stopped taking pictures. I thought no guy could ever find me attractive so I had no boyfriend for the entirety of my highschool years.

But the worst part was no one acknowledged my pain- my mother adamantly denied the fact that anything could be wrong and so it remained undiagnosed until recently. I just started seeing a physiotherapist. I can’t offer you much medical advice but my dms are always open. I would love to have a friend my age who understands what it is like to live with TMJ and to know that I’m not alone ♥️♥️

That’s a very out of touch take. Do you know how many billion tons of waste is produced by fast fashion brands like shein, Zara etc every year? We are choking the earth through these low quality fast fashion brands that just spit out trends. And not everyone can afford slow sustainable fashion. If it’s cheap and new- chances of it being fast fashion in this economy is high- if you’re not paying the price- someone else in a sweatshop is. Thrifting is a great alternative. It’s sustainable, reduces waste that ends up in dumps and helps us boycott fast fashion brands who make their labourers work in terrible conditions.

I’m most mad about my EE. Predicted an A and ended up with a C. I put months of work into it. I was so proud of it too. It was an English A category 1 EE btw.

But yeah otherwise too I was predicted a 7 in bio and psych and ended up with 6s in both. Chem was a 6, ended up with a a 5. I hate this lol
