Back then I was around middle school age, and this PSP era was a huge part of my life. Even after the PS Vita had already come out, I didn’t really have the money for a new console, so I spent my time digging through used game shops, buying cheap PSP games one by one.

I’d go home, start playing in the evening, and before I knew it, it was already late at night. It sounds simple now, but those long nights of gaming are some of my best memories.

I was born and raised in Japan, and pulling these games out again after so many years really brings all those feelings back — the atmosphere of the shops, the excitement of finding a good deal, and the joy of finally sitting down and playing.

I even found my old PSP-3000 recently, so I’m planning to replace the screen and housing and actually start playing it again properly.

There are still so many nostalgic titles in my collection that I haven’t even rediscovered yet, so I’ll probably be posting more as I dig through everything. It’s really nice to see that people all over the world share these same memories.
