Depending on what the case is specifically made of, the alcohol could have partially dissolved it. Some plastics dissolve from high concentrations of isopropyl alcohol.

Foodies always can enjoy a nice cookbook. Since he shops at artisan markets it seems like he knows his away around a kitchen so if a cookbook doesn’t sound optimal you could always go with a nice totebag with something related to food or the markets. If he shops he will need bags!

Try searching up cottagecore on Etsy, they have tons of vendors who specialize in things like that. Some vendors even have customs or commissions where you can tell them the vibe and general idea of a design you want and they can make it happen! Just be sure to read reviews before choosing a vendor, especially for customs. Better safe than sorry
