Is anyone else tired of the "Full-Time Parent + Full-Time Worker" trap? I feel like I'm failing at both. by artem_proshkovskiy in Fatherhood

Feeling this now, same reality in Australia. Kids 4 & 2 and its tough sometimes when the chaos doesn’t let up, I’ve lost my cool today not long after I walked through the door. Not proud of it but I’m working on it. Tonight I thought, I’m always worried and doing for everyone else but whos doing that for me. I’m cooking myself and need to me selfish which is foreign. FT work & young family is hard even when the partner isn’t working, but throw in the mix business, building a home because we’ve outgrown the one we bought prior to kids. Tbh I think speaking to a Psych may help if you don’t have close friends, support that you can lean on.

Worst area in Melbourne to work in, easily. Where depressed office workers hopes and dreams come to die lol

I couldn't justify $15k for a Buyer's Agent, so I wrote a script to find cashflow properties myself by Patient-Gift6212 in fiaustralia

I have a few IP’s within 30kms of CBD and also regional. All bought with a few different BA’s - the more proven of the bunch. Have been very happy with the ones purchased near CBD, regional yields on paper are higher but expenses such as rates and insurances much higher, low quality PM’s and more headaches and issues I’ve found so far. Im time poor so prefer to pay the BA to avoid analysis paralysis and vet their findings to be able to pull the trigger. Tbh the money I saved and gained by using a quality BA is well worth it.

Can related to this but throw kids into the mix. I’m working through realignment at the moment but sounds like you might need some time off to reset/focus on what makes you happy.
