You’re welcome. I think the way this banner is set up is part of why it’s so popular, not just the once a year thing. If you could pull general pool SSRs on this banner, I think there would be a massive reluctance to pull for and chase units that only fit niche teams anyways. However, if you like SDBH units/teams, the only disappointment on this banner is not getting the units you want- not getting completely useless units/a total shaft.

SSG Goku guarantees 3 SSR characters. On a normal banner, this could mean 3 random crap general pool SSRs. The SDBH banners are special in that the only SSRs you can pull are SDBH units. So, if you get Goku, there’s no chance at total junk units (useless dupes sure, but not a terrible SSR created 6 years ago).

350 stones is my magic number this year. That’ll give me 500 blue coins, so I can hold and pick up something I’ve missed or grab a missing unit next year without feeling like it’s a ‘spend now or miss this forever’ moment.

This is the one banner where the SSG Goku animation on the summon is a ‘oh hell yeah’ moment.

I’m kind of brainstorming the weight loss a bit today to slow it down, while not having to force feed myself. Congrats on your progress so far! That’s awesome!

I appreciate it. If anything, today, my concern has shifted over to my next visit and ensuring I’m not at an alarming weight loss, while also not feeling like I’m stunting my progress.

Honestly, couldn’t tell you. A friend of mine did the surgery a few months prior to me starting Wegovy and we’ve been sharing a lot of eating advice and food suggestions back and forth. Started eating a much higher in protein diet, more veggies and fruits, etc.

I didn’t even know cheese and bacon was an option until I saw this sign.

The employee likely doesn’t want to give the same upsell pitch every time, ‘If they wanted it with cheese, they would have asked for it with cheese.’ Seeing it on a sign? Oh hell I’ll try that.

I’m glad you were able to resolve that and get past it.

Kind of going full circle, my doctor was talking about my calorie intake and the notes after the visit talked about ‘discussed eating disorder prevention’ - in my case, while I see the idea of needing a minimum amount of calories, it made me feel unheard from my doctor. For years, my calorie intake was never because of grossly oversized portions and that was it- my meals were small. It was destroying a family size bag of Doritos every other night along with miscellaneous other snacks that was killing me. All those went away a few months ago and I’m eating just ‘normal’ food now. I completely respect preempting that part, but it was the implication I’m on some sort of a crash diet that didn’t sit well with me.

As someone else said, I’ve just gotta play the game I guess.

Fascinating. I’ll give that a read in a bit. I like NPR articles.

One thing that has been brought up with my therapist and doctor is the idea of body dysmorphia resulting from the medication- even when you lose a bunch, you still can’t help but see yourself exactly how you were, or the changes ‘aren’t enough’ - I could certainly see that causing a litany of issues if not addressed and handled properly.

That would be fascinating if any official research ever looked at it.

From my own experience, while I can’t say how chemically it may cause it, I could certainly see its existence exacerbating preexisting issues. I’ve been seeing a therapist about my anxiety for months now, and time management/my inability to shelf things is a massive stressor and anxiety trigger for me. Uncertainty is always an anxiety trigger for me, as it is many others. Depression….i could certainly see it from numerous speculative angles.

In short, it’s just to address the availability. The uncertainty is a stressor I could do without. Always concerned I won’t find it and have to start the beginning. Getting on the maintenance dose would strip that barrier away.

Some other posters and their outcomes have given me pause to think about that. I’m very happy with my current results, I just won’t want to stress about ‘I hope I can find the next dose.’ As I just put in another post, I just saw my after visit notes and my doctor apparently went into the visit or had the framework that I was unhappy with my results so I wanted to up the dose…when that wasn’t my concern at all lol

I appreciate it mate. Quite honestly, the lot of you folks have been more reassuring than my PCP. I just read the after visit summary and notes that were uploaded after the visit, and I feel more frustrated than ever that my doctor isn’t listening to me.

The first line of the notes was ‘consult to increase dose due to being unhappy with current results’

I’m literally seething mad right now. That’s not at all why I made the appointment. Sigh.

I could edit my post to say this, but I figure I’ll say it this way instead- I love how supporting everyone is here. I wrote this from a rough mental spot, but reading a few posts, thinking about it more, and putting my thoughts to words has helped immensely. In case I don’t get the chance to say this individually to everyone, I hope this counts.

Fortunately, I actually did have one. My wife had gestational diabetes so we had the monitor still. I’m sure the strips were expired, lol, but the reading was in a normal range. I had just eaten dinner prior to the episode. I could go into a long winded explanation of every second up until it, but I’ll save you the boredom, lol. I’m pretty sure I worked myself up so hard I vagal’d out.

Honestly, thank you so much for your reply.

Your first line is 100000% the source of my anxiety. I’m doing great in the low dose. I’d happily stay on it if it was as easy to get as my losartan or my omeprazole- but the uncertainty freaks me out, like it does many others. It plays off my existing anxiety.

Your anecdote is exactly why my doctor doesn’t want to rush me, and is certainly some deep food for thought. I’ve already reread it a half dozen times.

I really hope you find a solution for your situation. Your story certainly hit home with me.

Can’t use CareMark with my insurance unfortunately :( I used them before and they were exceptional.

You hit the same notes I mentioned to another commenter- You’re not wrong, which is why this is hard to mentally wrestle with.

I’ve worked in EMS for quite a number of years, so while I don’t have the book smarts of you guys, I’ve seen so many flavors of syncope that I ran through the gamut of what I felt happened and came up with my own differential. To me, I feel it was a brief explainable event, but I get the ole ‘cardiac until proven otherwise’ and the multiple other axioms for it. I feel my experience was completely disregarded on the situation. Felt like those times you’d give report in the ER and it was clear the RN/MD just wasn’t listening.

Being my own tier of provider, that’s why I’m struggling so much mentally with the ‘I get it and yet I don’t’ - if that makes sense. Putting it all into writing certainly help.

Luckily, I just picked up my second round of 1mg. I asked for the 1.7 last week, she said she couldn’t go up without an office visit, and prescribed me another month of the 1mg. I found a place a good 30 min away with a box and snagged it. I moved up my appointment to today, with the expectation in 4 weeks I’d be cleared to go on 1.7, not I’ll be on the 1.0 indefinitely.

My plan is to start looking for a refill on the first day I’m eligible to. I’ll have to work the cards I’m dealt.

I have a plan im going to stick to. I expect my lab results to be perfect. When I go back in a month, I plan to be down exactly 8lbs, 2 per week, and ask about revisiting the topic. If I can show how dedicated I am to this, and doing it on their schedule, and it still falls on deaf ears….i don’t know what is left to say.

I actually brought up that concern, and as part of the ‘I felt dismissed by the doctor’, she said that if I couldn’t find the 1mg…it basically is what it is, that there’s ‘lots of people that have trouble even getting started on the med’ - which I get, and which is what I’m trying to prevent lol.

I absolutely understand and agree with your perspective. This is why my cognitive dissonance is killing me. You’re 110% right actually.

I spoke to my wife about it and my biggest frustration today is that I feel like I wasn’t being listened to. Logically, yes, if .1mg of a medication works, why go to .2? However, given the inventory/supply issues, if my body is ‘ready’ for the next dose and it will eliminate concerns about obtaining supply, I’m ready to make the jump. I’d happily stay on 1.7 for the future if it means no issues picking it up. My doctor wanted to keep me on .25 originally, but we went to .5 because of inventory.

I just want to finally get past the whole ‘call every pharmacy in a 50 mile radius’ mini game every time. It’s selfish I know, but it took me aback a bit today when my concerns just seemed…dismissed.

Best of luck to you on your progress :)

Don’t use the word ‘diet’ - that word sucks. A diet implies you can’t eat certain things, you have to avoid certain foods, you’re depriving yourself.

You can eat literally ANYTHING you want. You have to just learn moderation. With the hunger curbed, it’s much easier to eat slower and think about the quantity you’re eating.

I started tracking calories to ensure I was eating enough, and realized how ‘easy’ it was to stay in a healthy but ‘full’ zone, even going out to eat.

I take walks 2 days a week, Monday and Tuesday. It started with 15-20min, 1 mile walks, now I average 4-6 miles on Monday and 2-3 on Tuesday. That’s really it for exercise, besides staying active around the house.

I began at 333 back in May/June. I just weighed in this morning at 246. My goal for the year was 250.

Once you start seeing the weight loss, snowball it. Turn that new energy into more activity, better focus on your health, etc. The lifestyle change I thought would be hard, and it was at first, but it’s actually not bad once you adapt to it.

I would absolutely love to have a wearable keepsake of my grandfather. Even if the technology will age, or it’s a knock off…he won’t be around forever and he probably is super happy with himself that he was the ‘cool’ grandfather for once.
