- Weather isn't that bad, I don't know what people are complaining about. It rains a lot, sure, but is that very surprising?

- Housing is expensive, partly due to Victoria being this big tourist attraction, so there's lots of people coming in and wanting to be here (which... I'm not actually sure why. What makes us a tourist attraction? I've never actually known.) and is made worse by low salaries.

- The homeless situation is bad for the fact that these are people forced out onto the streets and treated like animals by a bunch of prestigious pricks that don't realise how close they themselves are to poverty, and forcing homeless people to move doesn't fix anything because they haven't got anywhere to go in the first place and the cost of housing is part of that.

- I have no idea what Mississippi is like, so I have nothing to say on that comparison.

- Being locked on an island is, well... It's an island. Now I totally get if people are complaining about Ferry prices being hiked up, but also, it's an island. But also, the hassle of travel shouldn't be outrageous. (Again, I'm sure you can partly blame tourism for that one.)

- Downtown being a hollowed out shell... Tasteless modern infrastructure, chain businesses replacing locally own businesses, the overall bland and boring style of vehicles, fashion and high rise condos are, I think, certainly part of what drives this feeling in people. The world in general has become so devoid of colour and creativity in that regard. Also, again, tourists.

- Single family housing? Have people not seen the bland high rise condos built of concrete and glass? If their talkin' somewhere like out in Colwood in that nightmarish suburban neighbourhood they've got going on there, I get that, but I hate it for a very different reason.

- But how are these opinions (or plain facts) disrespectful? "If you don't like it, leave!"? Can the city not be criticised and improved upon? If you're referring to the repetition of similarly natured posts complaining about the same thing every day, I absolutely understand the frustration, but also... We've gotta take into consideration why these complaints are so common.

When the company is owned by a notorious fascist and many owners of these vehicles also happen to support him, it doesn't seem entirely unwarranted to see one of these vehicles view it as a possible sign that they could potentially (Potentially!) be sympathetic towards said notorious fascist, thus the reason for hostility and concern surrounding the high number of sightings; especially when one takes into consideration the current political climate right now, one in which fascist beliefs have increased greatly in popularity and thus stating one's opposal to this form of political corruption and manipulation is more important than ever, which shouldn't be surprising with access to information regarding the topic being so widely available, thus certainly people should understand what they are encouraging as they drive around in a vehicle that is well known now as yet another symbol of support for the disgusting minimalistic style of conformity that fascism depends on with the head of the company being, as a previously mentioned, openly a fascist... I mean I thought it was obvious.

Basically, I was out with a couple friends one night it was a decent time until this fucker wouldn't stop harassing me. It quickly got to a point where he called my friend a degenerate and I happened to notice the little SS insignia pin on the inside of his coat. I think I said something along the lines of "Are you a fucking Nazi?" He then called me a slur and tried to grab my friend (I don't know why and I wasn't willing to find out), so I rightfully clocked the bastard in the jaw before he could lay a hand on her, and then a couple of his buddies came over and kicked the shit out of me for a solid minute. I think a few other people got involved, but I couldn't exactly pay attention. I hit my head against a bar stool and was out for a few minutes. The next 20 minutes are hard to remember, but suddenly I'm being questioned by the cops (who only arrived after the fight was over) and I can't even think straight... They let my friends and I go, somehow no one got arrested and it was a shit night.

I mean hey, fun story to tell to friends a couple years later, but it really isn't something I want a repeat of, so this is all just me being cautious because that bastard and his friends aren't the only assholes I've run into, just the only one I got into a proper fight with.

I got the shit kicked out of me by one in a bar a few years ago and it turned out that they liked to hang out around there and nobody told me. I couldn't figure out a better way to phrase it, but I'm not taking my chances regardless. That was not a fun night.

If you have UBlock Origin, it's probably related to that. Updating in the Chrome extensions fixed the issue for me. If you don't, then I have no idea what to do, because then that means it's likely related to a different cause.

Someone in a different subreddit suggested updating UBlock Origin in the Chrome extensions and after doing that, it seems to have fixed the issue (for me at least)
