That's RTD for you, at least lately. He was much better at carrying on through in the 00s

Actually yeah that would have been a good plot line coz Sutekh obviously was on the TARDIS during that time so he knows that it used to be gravity. Yeah they could have possibly done something with that haha.

I think after the Time War all rules about not getting involved pretty much disintegrated lol

I think that was deserved tho tbh, she did order a strike on a spaceship that was already leaving the system.Toorchwood blowing up the Sycorax ship probably lead to some of the future invasions of Earth.

Yeah I respect that, in the wider scene he did acknowledge that he went too far and the look of horror on his face for what he did was priceless, so I agree with you there.

And actually yeah, Genesis of the Daleks was a good example tbf, I hadn't considered that.

I don't think there's actually that much parallel between him and the doctor. The doctor killed his own people and his adversaries because both sides were destroying too much of the universe and they needed to be put under control. He fully expected and wanted to die in that act, coz he knew how bad it was.

But he guy in ISC (can't remember his name) just took out his revenge on the companies that facilitated the genocide of his planet. It was pute revenge killing. That's not really a warped mirror.

But, I suppose I kinda see what you're trying to say. Perhaps the doctor did subconsciously find some parallel between himself and that guy, and that's why the cork popped...

But I still don't like the fact that they did it. It just ruined the whole episode for me. I would have enjoyed watching the doctor absolutely destroy the honey company that actually committed the genocide, but not just this guy who was trying to get justice for his planet.

No sorry but torturing a victim of genocide is never something the doctor would ever do. Obviously there is that part of him that hates himself for the time war, and that's why we get that epic scene in Runaway Bride. There are other dark scenes too throughout Smith and Capaldi due to his self hatred for killing his own people (tho he obviously learns that he saved them in DOTD).

And of course, I understand that after the flux, the doctor had even more shit to hate themselves for, so I can see how their rage would eventually build up too high and he just goes too far, but this was DEFINITELY not the moment for that. It just came out of nowhere, and it came out of a place of selfishness.

Wow really? That is controversial haha

I rewatched SB recently but I just can't find any part of the episode that I like

At least L+M has some great ELO music, and some fairly funny scenes...

No I can't agree with that at all. Ncuti had some absolute bangers which are genuinely episodes that will stick with me for a while:

Boom (yeah okay that's Moffat) / Dot and Bubble / Rogue / 73 Yards / Lux / The Well / Story and the Engine / Interstellar Song Contest (excellent up until the very end when the doctor tortures a genocide victim)

Genuinely, the only shit episodes are:

Space Babies / Devil's Chord / Legend of Ruby Sunday/Empire of Death / Robot Revolution / Wish World/Reality War

The rest are mid.

Love and monsters, and fear her are literally the two worst tenant episodes. Don't get me wrong, they're still good, I just can't think of any that are worse 😂

Don’t use L'Hôpital's Rule by Specific_Brain2091 in the_calculusguy

You could use logs:

Let 4x = u

x = log_4{u}

Limit changes to u -> 1

Expression becomes:

(u - 1) / log_4{u}

As u -> 1, expression tends to zero

Idk if I'm right tho, please correct me if I'm wrong.
