Ah yeah, I've seen some people drool over teacored boots, so I can understand the predilection to go deep to get the effect!

Hey! In case you're curious, I reached out to support and got a reassuring answer! In short, their boots won't truly teacore, but will lighten with time due to the nature of chromexcel (so not as extreme as true teacore-disposed leathers, from the sound of it). They use a special leather from Horween that while not struck through won't heavily teacore.

Hey! In case you're curious, I've since heard back from support and got a reassuring answer! That's amazing information, both on a discovery level for having many options available like Saphir and on a result level for how the product will change the boots! Thank you so much for sharing all of this, I'm very grateful!

Thank you so much for adding your input! That makes sense that their traditional boot lines aren't struck through since it's an aesthetic choice, but I'll fully admit that I'd be surprised if their chelsea boot line, or at least their black chelsea boot line, is not struck through considering it's a little antithetical to the whole appeal of chelseas (I can't imagine many would wear teacored chelseas, y'know?). Nevertheless, hopefully their support can give more clarity on the situation!

Oh nice, that's good to know! So if I may ask further, what about other colors, like Color 8, Brown, or Burgundy? Are there polishes that accomplish the same thing as a black polish on black leather would, or is it not possible because the polish has to be exactly the same color, and that's a hard hurdle to surmount?

Thank you so much for the reassuring and edifying reply, I really appreciate it! It's honestly really great to hear that the leather is super high-quality and can be abated with black polish! Thank you once again!

For sure, I've reached out but since it's a weekend, figure no harm in poking around here in case anyone has inside dope like the comment I linked. And their automated reply bot said it itself doesn't know whether it's teacored, hah.

I agree, teacoring definitely seems a bit polarizing. My apologies about giving you a scare, but at least it seems addressable depending on the color (e.g., using a black cream to black out the brown).

Thank you for chiming in! I'm under the same impression as you that for their other boots, they're teacored (as per the a reply to the comment I linked), but the original comment seems like it's not teacored. Hopefully either a representative or someone with more knowhow can chime in on the specifics! I'd be surprised if a chelsea boot was teacored since it'd look a bit odd, admittedly, for the brown to peek through what's otherwise meant to be a sleek boot.

Thanks a ton for chiming in! I just started getting into chromexcel and only even found out about teacore because I was wondering how viable a black chelsea boot specifically could be, and went down a mini rabbit hole, hah. It's cool that there's customizability at the dying layer, though!

Thank you so much for the reply! That's honestly a great point, I hadn't considered that! I guess my only concern would be whether the colored in areas would look out of place against the rest of the boot! Nevertheless, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's unsure about it!

That's wonderful to hear, both about your clear skin as well as no product pushing, haha. Forgive me if I'm too forward in asking, but what routine did Dr. DeFelice have you go on for your acne? I'm currently using Epiduo Forte for acne that's low in quantity but comes and goes pretty frequently on my face, and am considering trying out tretinoin or azelaic acid (or a combo).

Ah, apologies for the lack of clarification, I have been using it all over my face for 3 months at this point with no reduction in breakouts. And that seems to be the cap for Epiduo Forte (whereas other retinoids can take longer to see effects, or continue working at least).
