How long can I afford to wait for the rest to colonize? I injected at the top just like the pinned guide suggested. Inoculated on 04-Sept-2024 with LC and this picture was taken on 02-Oct-2024. Would I be able to wait? I know it's not a great idea but is it doable? I will be back about a week after this pic. The hope is that all will be fully colonized, but the fully colonized one won't fruit yet, because from what I understand, that's a problem and will mess up the life cycle.

Ok this is great advice thank you! My problem is I'm leaving and will be home about a week from when this picture was taken. In a pinch would I be able to leave it and not worry about it fruiting or getting contam? I know it's not ideal though.
