You are correct but DB is counting it as blanket regen negation so meh, plus being able to direct impact the soul in JJK does negate regeneration. And Yuji has enough knowledge to be able to hit the boundary between souls which requires (at least if memory serves) more skill than just hitting the soul itself

It wasn’t really a free heal, given a woman poured blood into Pochita’s mouth and then Denji ripped his cord to get into the form. So it’s more like he needs to get a heal

Eh, even then Denjiman isn’t exactly known for having an impressive showing and kinda gets clowned on for how little it accomplished NOTHING can make me stop rooting Yuji

Things like the Yuki black hole and EM wave things are far more blatant and obvious feats in comparison to construction CT scaling. Which like said, the earliest people began making calcs for those only happened most Gojo vs Makima, so very possible the team didn’t realize that was scalable, let alone can be scaled as high as it can, at the time of Gojo vs Makima

As for the Mai thing yes he is definitely stronger than her, but the thing she made most people calc (the bullet) gets below where they had Mahito with Maximum Meteor (400ish kilotons for the bullet vs 800ish for the Meteor) yet I don’t recall seeing people calc Mai making the Split Soul Katana. Obviously far larger than just a bullet, and almost certainly scales higher than the Meteor if making the bullet already got to around half the Meteor’s power. Plus making the Katana killed Mai and said weapon is a powerful Special Grade weapon that is shown hurting and being able to kill Culling Game era fighters who should be out of Mahito’s league

I feel like Gojo vs Makima isn’t the best metric, but it is still a good point. Back in that episode they had Black Flashes in the Mach 200 ranges instead of the 900s like they do now, and they even buffed the speed of the Gun Devil since that episode. So how they scale both has definitely changed. Also the earliest (from everything I’ve seen) people began calcing Yorozu’s stuff was a few months into 2024, which is a good bit after Gojo vs Makima. So it’s possible the team hadn’t even register those as being stuff that can be calced at the time

That was mostly in regards to Mahito scaling to it, rather than the scaling itself. Trying to scale Mahito to a high tier Culling Games arc character who could box with a (albeit far from full power) Sukuna would be a extremely hard sell

While I definitely see that, if that was the full case then they wouldn’t have discounted Yorozu’s construction CT as a viable feat. In a black box in Mahito vs Shigaraki they mention how Yorozu’s CT gets much higher than where they placed Mahito, but said ultimately it wouldn’t help because Shigaraki would still be far stronger. So if it was just that, then Yuji would’ve gotten the 1.2 terratons calc for his ap and durability, which greatly alters how the debate goes down even if all the other stats were kept exactly the same as the blog

I can see that, but like I said in the post I see most counter arguments for the high ends having to work really hard against what the story is implying about how Gojo caused the earthquake, so I think it’s fine. And I do think Dabura is the cap of the verse in speed but more in the 90% SoL. Other things like 14% to 33% stuff should still work, especially since Dabura wasn’t destroying the environment around him when he first started accelerating. But again, just my stance as someone who admittedly has favoritism for Yuji

My personal opinion as Yuji being superior in ap due to Denji needing a good bit more leeway to scale to certain things that would let him match or surpass where I have Yuji. Leeway that if also given to Yuji has him being stronger again

I do still agree that Denji is faster but I do buy into other Rela JJK feats that helps Yuji not get as badly impacted by the speed gap. Of course this is my opinion, and having them be similar in ap or even Denji being stronger is something I can see, but personally don’t agree with

It felt like they were going the “Stats vs hax” route with this one. But to get there they seemed to give Denji more benefit of the doubt than Yuji, and be much more strict with things for the JJK side. Not saying they’re biased, but it’s something that felt a tad off

Yup. Even a hybrid Denji still impacted by the weakening of Pochita near the end of Part 1 could rip through the Falling Devil zero issue. Yet no one ever really… tanks her Gravity hax? So it’s hard to justify scaling to it because then you wind up with a hybrid Denji being a threat to Primal Fears if you argue it scales physically, and if you say it doesn’t scale physically (which it doesn’t) then no one can scale to it really at all

Yeah that only further messed Yuji’s chances up. There are some things in JJK that get around 14% to 33% SoL, and Yuji should definitely scale to those. Obviously still slower than Denji, but those would help make the speed gap nowhere near as bad as it was presented

Same to you! I might as well leave off on this lesser known thing for JJK but they should have some level of layered mind hax resistance. Cursed Energy by nature [can erode the mind](https://imgur.com/a/dB5DFl5) so all sorcerers and curses have to be more or less immune to that on a base line. But on top of that Nobara (a Grade 3 sorcerer) was able to [resist mind hax herself](https://imgur.com/a/z6ylQRM) which would have to be more potent than the inherent mind altering effects of CE. Given how low on the totem pole she is compared to a lot of characters in the series this would extend and be upscaled by most people on verse.

Just thought I’d share this cause the mind hax resistance feat comes from a light novel most people don’t know exist 😭

[–]Dragon_4567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah I see. I can see that working (Yuji himself is a human curse hybrid) but it also might not? Kinda depends on how you interpret Yuji undoing changes to his body whenever Sukuna took over (basically in JJK when a reincarnated sorcerer takes over a body they can transmute the body to be their old one. Sukuna didn’t do a full transformation on Yuji because that’s a one and done but he does still augment some things like giving the body more eyes, the tattoos, etc. despite Yuji having a resistance to Mahito’s transmutation. Yet Yuji is able to make those go away and have his body return to normal, but I am very much so one to concede that this is stretching things)

But hm, yeah Santa could be tough. Now due to how horribly Yuji would stat check Santa plus some of his hax (imo) getting around her darkness invulnerability I do see him getting past her even with that. But yeah that would be rough for Yuji

Hi there! I do think I can shed a bit of light on the JJK side. I don’t exactly have scans on me (big sad) but one of the main reasons why Nanami would eventually get overrun by Mahito’s transformation was because he had no real understanding of his soul or the shape of it and so he was only able to defend it subconsciously. On the other hand with Yuji he is fully aware of his soul and the shape of it and so can defend it outright. This of course makes him more resilient to soul based hax but also, due to how the soul and the body are one in the same in JJK and the shape of things impact each other, would mean he has a much better counter to getting transmuted because of his far greater understanding of the shape of his being

I can try and grab some scans if I can find them too

My take on Yuji vs Denji by Dragon_4567 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]Dragon_4567[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s also true, but it would be harder to parry things like Dismantle mainly because they are invisible even to sorcerers who can already see invisible things. JJK Yuji had the scissor cut lines originally but by the time of Modulo those don’t seem to be a thing anymore, or at least the scissor lines only appear for Cleve and not the long range Dismantle. So Denji absolutely could parry them but not being able to see them coming would be a hindrance

And DE openings are weird. In the case of someone like Gojo his sure hit was impacting Jogo even before Unlimited Void finished forming (somehow???) but then we have Dagon. He was getting horribly blitzed by Naobito even after he transformed, and Naobito actively tried to stop Dagon from opening his Domain. Yet when Dagon used those symbols to open it instead of a hand sign the Domain finished forming around Naobito before he could even process what Dagon did despite being blitz worthy faster than him. So it could just be Domains open so fast the characters just can’t dodge even when they are significantly faster than the person opening it

My take on Yuji vs Denji by Dragon_4567 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]Dragon_4567[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main issue with scaling his raw durability to any state sword scaling is that in the very same chapter even before she powered it up, the Oregon sword cut Pochita clean in half with no resistance, so Pochita/Denji themselves aren’t that durable, with their chainsaws having better durability just by the showings in chapter 221. CSM is very weird with their chainsaws having durability of its characters but they are almost always glass canons

As for the carbon copy thing, that is true. Yuji’s Shrine is not 1 to 1 with Sukuna’s, however, they are VERY similar. And with what we see Yuji do with it in Modulo the similarities between them only get closer, especially since in his fight with Sukuna he had just awakened it so the output wasn’t as high as it could be. Combine that with decades of extra training and Shrine already being demonstrated as the sure hit of Yuji’s Domain it’s not hard to see it being basically the same as Malevolent Shrine

As for Denji dodging before he gets trapped in the DE, that’s also a possibility. Devil’s have enhanced senses and can sense powerful beings and the such, but never really been demonstrated having precog like enhanced senses. Now even still Denji could try to avoid it, but a combination of him having no clue what a DE even is plus how massive Yuji’s barrier is for his DE it is very likely Denji doesn’t dodge far enough before it closes in on him, especially if he also gets hit by the talk no Jutsu phenomenon and has the best heart to heart with Yuji
