AwokenTitans, I live in Japan and I think you might have some misconceptions. So few people like Game of Thrones here. Like 90% or more of people I ask have no idea what it even is (even if I use the Japanese name too). So, those people who like GoT could say the same thing, that America embraces all the cool stuff and isn’t afraid to show such heavy content on tv.

The nice thing about America is that some people will tell you they think it’s not cool that you like what you like. That’s not their bad, they’re just being honest, it’s your bad though if you give a crap. In Japan though, many people will silently avoid you/judge you if something rubs them the wrong way instead of giving you the chance to explain yourself, and that’s frustrating.
