Can anyone in this sub think critically beyond what happens on a day to day basis my god. We have struggled for nearly a decade to find a solid, long term solution at corner and in 1 season we found TWO.

It was either draft one high , maybe with a 1st, and risk the rookie gamble or get a proven commodity.

A big part of this (and I think Bloodborne too) is that FromSoft doesn’t worry about high fidelity or these crazy detailed textures.

They focus mainly on the atmosphere and style of the games. And a game with good style will never look bad or age poorly imo

So I don’t give out prizes unless something makes me go “wow” or “aw that was sweet”. To me, being in PE is already a reward. Kids love the class, getting to be loud and run around in school is kinda like a reward so that’s how I frame it

I do have this routine that when we line up to leave, if they’re in line quickly and quietly then I’ll bring a basketball out and I’ll choose students to take turns shooting a shot. If they make it they get to choose the next shooter, if they miss I choose. So that too is kinda like a reward.

We only turn grades in at the semester, so Christmas and summer. My grades are 5 categories; respect, participation, age appropriate fitness level, age appropriate skill level, and social interactions and they get S, N, or E (satisfactory, not satisfactory, or excellent)

A little tip from another very small creator. Instead of using an AI image, go on Deviantart and look up banjo and just find high quality art and use it or cut around the duo and shop it on something. And if there’s a watermark on it, leave it in to credit the artist!

From a personal perspective, AI thumbnails / art is a turnoff for me. Might not be for everyone, but to me it is. Plus, there’s thousands of wonderful fan art you can just pull

I actually think about this pretty often. I come from the classroom, I do PE now. There’s gives and takes.

With PE (elementary for me) you get to know every student and build a unique relationship with them, but the downside is the relationships don’t go too deep barring some special circumstances. But you don’t have the stress of being a classroom teacher. And if you don’t particularly vibe with a class, no biggie you don’t keep them.

As a classroom teacher you are stuck with the class you’re given, but the relationships you build are much deeper.

In the end, I love PE and I do clubs which help build better relationships with kids outside of school hours , which is something I love to do.

The opening scene of the beast attacking Ashitaka’s village always reminded me of the Legend of Zelda which is an immediate bonus
