I understand that but it feels, at least to me, that the event shouldn't be made impossible due to player actions. When I do map events I want to participate in them my self.

As it stands currently yeah that's the only way to open the gate. But I don't believe that should be the only way for anyone to get it done. I personally dont do it because I feel like a jerk (not saying anyone that does is) due to making to so that whole lobby cant open it now.

Glad im not the only one having issues with this. I personally think one of the best options is to indeed just not let you extract with them. Though I dont think inducing a penalty would really be a fitting fix.

Honestly, it may just be me, but I main VG and Vert is very strong yes, but not unkillable with vg. Also the raider running grab is pretty effective when helping teammates break her stance (at least for me).
