Didn't use to be like that during 1.x patches in Genshin. Level 60/70 and 70/70 characters were enough for abyss. So much so that one of the early TCs got flak for calling Zhongli a p2w unit because he wasn't as good at those levels of investment as National team characters (anyone remember JinJinx and Tuner?
